Nintendo and Niantic have quietly launched a browser-based AR game called Pikmin Finder to coincide with the Nintendo Live event in Seattle.

According to official reports, the game can be played through any mobile browser app and is suitable for phones and tablets equipped with cameras. Players only need to look for sprouting Pikmin in the ground and then pull them out with a quick swipe of their finger. Once the player has found all Pikmin of a certain type (usually 2-3), the Pikmin can be used to find treasures such as rubber ducks, cakes, etc.

It is worth mentioning that Nintendo Live 2024 Tokyo will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight on January 20-21, 2024, and will include not only live performances, but also a world championship of first-party Nintendo games. Splatoon 3 and Super Smash Bros. will also host team matches. The Splatoon 3 team competition will be held on the first day.
