The Legend of Nishan Shaman is a functional game of traditional Chinese religious culture. It tells the story of a female shaman named Nishan who retrieves the souls of innocent children. This game is adapted from the Legend of Nishan Shaman. Players need to play the role of Nishan Shaman, travel through the worlds, subdue demons and spirits by beating the shaman drum in their hands, and experience a fantasy adventure. This game was produced by six graduates in five months. It is not only a light narrative rhythm game, but also a functional game with the significance of inheriting and protecting the culture of ethnic minorities. The unique Chinese paper-cut style art, the mysterious original ethnic minority shamanic music, and the culturally rich illustrated collection system will lead you to appreciate the unique charm of the ethnic minority culture in northern China.
We are a small team of six graduates and we are very happy to bring you our debut film Nishan Shaman.
No one in our team has made games before, so even if we are only competing against a team of graduates, we are really rookies. Our only art girl majors in 3D animation; our two programming guys are Android App front-end developers and data analysts respectively; and the other three members are all game operation management trainees recruited by the school to enter Tencent.
Fortunately, like our predecessors Sanzhuli team, we participated in the Kepler Program training for graduates of Tencent Game Academy. In the game design competition at the end of the training program, we won the prize and were selected as an incubation project. Our award-winning demo was the only Flash game among dozens of entries. Because no one knew how to use Unity (Storm Cry), it took us a lot of time to redo Unity.
During the five months of NEXT Studio incubation, we started from scratch, learned and sold now, and used dreams and sincerity to generate electricity. Thanks to all the NEXT Studio folks for their guidance and help.
