First of all, congratulations to Doomsday Supermarket for reaching 10,000 reservations.
The Apocalypse Diary has been around for a week now, and I have accumulated a lot of guesses and questions about the background of the game. I will open a post here for everyone to discuss.
As the diary continues to be updated, this post will also be updated accordingly.
About time
It was already several years after the crisis began.
About the characters (only those with names or titles are recorded)
Me(Protagonist)
Owning a supermarket, his own exploration team, a large amount of supplies, possibly his own survivor camp (or possibly cooperation), and the ability to independently resist monsters, he is a force that cannot be ignored in a seaside town.
Xiaoling (female)
He lives in a camp near the protagonist. He is the same age as the protagonist. He once commissioned the protagonist to find antibiotics. The camp is currently destroyed and his whereabouts are unknown.
Uncle Li (male)
The manager of a certain camp (probably the protagonist’s camp or working with the protagonist)
Little Lively(dog)
(Although it’s not a person, let’s put it into a character)
An indispensable species in the apocalypse (a dog at the beginning...), a dog raised in the camp.
Uncle Li (male)
One of the important personnel under the protagonist, he once led employees to repair fortifications, collect "essence", and also helped the protagonist with transactions.
Teacher Chen (male)
He used to be a teacher at a certain high school. After the apocalypse, he took the protagonist and his group to the school to find a batch of radiation protection suits.
Sister Lin (female)
The leader of a certain team from the South District gave the protagonist a knife.
About geographical location
Judging from the diary and pictures, the protagonist and the supermarket are currently in a seaside town, very close to the sea. There is a survivor camp belonging to the protagonist or a cooperative survivor next to the supermarket. There are multiple survivor camps nearby, and there is a high wall to the east.
About the human condition
There are currently two types, one is the people in the high wall, and the other is the people abandoned by the sea. The people in the high wall should have a complete governance system, while the people on the seaside are in a relatively chaotic state.
About "them"
There are various names for this group in the diary, such as "them" and monsters.
The meat is inedible, and you will get radiation sickness if you eat it. There is "essence" in the body that can be used as fuel or materials, but you must wear radiation protection clothing when extracting it.
They will retreat to the sea during the day, and at night they will swarm ashore to attack, seeming to be afraid of the sun. (Update: It seems that the attack does not occur every night, but only on what is called an invasion day)
The characteristic is that there is always green light shining from the bottom of the sea, flickering on and off.
The diary mentioned that "they" can be parasitic.
A total of three types have been discovered so far, namely
1. Infected person
Cannon fodder with extremely low HP (20) and relying on numbers to win.
2. Mutants
It has low blood volume (40) and is stronger than ordinary infected people.
3. Radiator
He has high HP (300), is huge, powerful, and has the ability to command or control mutants.
About fortifications
The fortifications built by the survivors to resist monsters
Currently divided into three types
Archery Tower
Solidity 100, one of the most basic defenses
Electric shock tower (it feels like it consumes a lot of electricity)
Ruggedness 160, may have the ability to paralyze enemies
turret
The toughness is 200. Even if the enemy is outnumbered, we can still bloom with one shot.
In addition, there may be instant-use props in the game, such as Molotov cocktails.
Regarding other information (those things that are not enough to form a separate category have been piled here by me, it may be a bit messy)
1. At present, the main remote communication tool is radio.
2. The ruler of the high wall refuses the survivors on the seaside to enter the high wall.
3. It is quite dangerous to stay outside the camp at night, but you can still spend the night outside as long as you handle it properly.
4. The protagonist once had the ability of a "prophet" or had a "prophet" around him.
5. There was once a "U disk" incident. After this incident was accepted by everyone, we were able to communicate with each other and achieve unprecedented unity in fighting "them". (It’s so awkward to read, but that’s what the original text says)
6. The amount of radiation in the environment is not fatal.
7. The black market was mentioned in the diary. I wonder if this part will be included in the game. (Update: Rare items will be sold on the black market)
8. There is a commission mentioned in the diary. Is it possible that I guessed it? (See Figure 2)
9. There is reincarnation or cycle, no wonder it is a meat pigeon game.
My question
1. It has been several years since the crisis occurred. Even after the nuclear leakage, those institutions had time to stock up on radiation protection suits, but they left some people here?
2. The high wall and who appeared first. If the high wall appeared first, it means that humans know the information that they will appear. If they appeared first, the high wall took several years to build, and the wall did not gather. Outsiders?
3. Judging from the current intelligence, their ability to infect is really not strong, at least not the kind that spreads through the air. Moreover, they are nocturnal and are quite safe during the day. So why are they still being searched for in small towns after a few years? Got precious supplies?
4. From the current point of view, the scientific research capabilities outside the wall are really worrying. So who is researching those drawings and the essence in them that can be used? (Update: It seems to be researched by the protagonist, who is still a scientist)
Okay, that's all the current information. Everyone is welcome to have a friendly discussion.
