Dong Bai is the granddaughter of Dong Zhuo, the Prime Minister of the Eastern Han Dynasty.

He was greatly loved by Dong Zhuo, and was named King of Weiyang when he was still young. He has been spoiled since he was a child, and is unruly and willful, often making unreasonable demands on his servants. They noticed that Diao Chan was trying to drive a wedge between Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu, but everyone did not believe her because she was young and unruly.

In 192 AD, Situ Wang Yun and others executed Dong Zhuo. Dong Bai was implicated and died with the three clans. He was sixteen years old.

In the first year of Chuping (190), Dong Zhuo hijacked Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty and moved the capital to Chang'an, and generously rewarded his clan and subordinates. Among them, Dong Bai was named the King of Weiyang when he was still underage.

In order to award Dong Bai with the seal and ribbon, Dong Zhuo set up a high altar in the east of Xicheng, and asked Dong Bai to ride in a green-covered car specially used by the royal family and nobles. He arrived at the altar under the guidance of officials such as the captain, Zhonglang general, and governor of Xicheng. Dong Zhuo's most capable general and Dong Bai's cousin Dong Huang served as the envoy and personally awarded her the seal and ribbon.
