Game Name:Gorogoa (Pictured World)

This game is really amazing (and now Tap has a New Year discount that is cheaper than the PC version)! The exquisite and elegant scene graphics, novel and wonderful puzzle design and unique non-linear narrative together bring a work-of-art experience ( ps: The author Jason Roberts completed almost all game development work alone)

The young man caught a glimpse of a mysterious dragon flying by outside the window, flipped through a book and saw the legend of five-color fruits, and then embarked on a journey of pursuit. Time allowed him to grow into a young man, go through the hard work of middle age, and gradually move towards his twilight years. Memories are floating in the wind, and the answer is already in front of you. Influenced by David Roberts, Shaun Tan and others, the hand-painted style of the game is classical, fresh and full of imagination. I want to take a screenshot of every frame~
-
The core gameplay is to solve puzzles in a 2x2 grid by zooming in or out of the frame through movement combinations. In the game, time and space overlap like a dream, and the multi-picture non-linear narrative breaks the time and space barrier. There is no text dialogue in the plot, and information is conveyed to the players only through four-frame pictures. These pictures present huge narrative tension in different combinations and connections.

ps: At some point it reminds me of Marc-Antoine Mathieu's "The Secret of Painting", a very nice comic book~
I bought it on steam and haven't finished it yet??, I really feel that the art style is very comfortable, and the various visual dislocations are also very interesting. I will finish it after the New Year...
Yes! I stumbled upon it on site B at that time, and quickly jumped in when it was low. This kaleidoscope of unexpected feeling is particularly wonderful!
Yes, I played it two years ago. I really feel that the author is not from the same world as us.
