Lime3DS: A Reborn 3DS Emulator

Lime3DS is a project that aims to revive and continue development of Citra, a popular open-source 3DS emulator that has ceased active development.

Installation

1. Windows & MacOS

Download the latest Lime3DS release from the Releases page.

2. Android

The recommended method for downloading Lime3DS on Android is via Obtainium:

Using Obtainium will ensure quick and easy installation of updates.

Alternatively, you can install the latest APK directly from the Releases page.

Note that this method requires manually downloading a new APK for each update.

3. Linux

Lime3DS is available as an AppImage on the Releases page. You can also find it on Flathub:

Please ensure you have read the contributing document before submitting a report.

Minimum Requirements

Desktop

1. Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit), MacOS Ventura, or a modern 64-bit Linux distribution.

2. CPU: x86-64 (64-bit) CPU with a single-core performance higher than 1,800 on Passmark.

3. GPU: OpenGL 4.3 or Vulkan 1.1 support.

4. Memory: 2GB of RAM, with 4GB recommended.

Android

1. Operating System: Android 9.0 or later.

2. CPU: Snapdragon 835 SoC or better.

3. GPU: OpenGL ES 3.2 or Vulkan 1.1 support.

4. Memory: 2GB of RAM, with 4GB recommended.

We welcome contributions from passionate enthusiasts! If you'd like to help, please consider:

1. Opening a Pull Request: If you have a feature you'd like implemented or an issue you want solved, feel free to open a pull request.

* Please avoid repeatedly merging the master branch into your pull request branch. A maintainer will handle this when appropriate.

2. Contributing Language Translations: We accept language translations on Transifex. If you are proficient in a non-English language listed on our Transifex page, please contribute.

Note: We are not currently accepting new languages for translation. Please refrain from requesting new languages or language variants.
