"Yuanyang Mingti" is an open source Chinese font based on Siyuan Songti. Using Siyuan Song-style Korean (KR) characters and the usual centered punctuation in Traditional Chinese, documents in traditional print style can be typeset.
The Taiwanese version (TW) of Siyuan Song Dynasty default uses the Ministry of Education standard font. Although it is suitable for educational purposes, it does not fully conform to the traditional print aesthetics. For example, there are too many dots, picks, and strokes, which can cause a large jump when arranging files. This project mainly uses the KR version of characters, which is closer to traditional printing habits and has a neater arrangement.
Note: This project did not create new characters, all characters are from Siyuan Song Script itself. Therefore, rare characters or simplified characters not included in the KR version will still be in TW and CN style.
It retains all Chinese characters supported by Siyuan Song Ti (including Japanese, Korean and simplified Chinese characters), and there will be almost no missing characters in commonly used Chinese characters. All Japanese kana are also retained. (However, up to 10,000 Korean characters have been deleted, effectively reducing the font file size.)
Note: This project does not create new characters, simplified characters, etc. will of course be in CN style.
Directly using Siyuan Songti KR version to arrange Chinese, there will be a problem of placing the punctuation point in the lower left. The punctuation marks in this version still adopt the traditional Chinese convention, with commas, periods, etc. placed in the center. And the system can correctly identify it as Traditional Chinese font.
In addition, the punctuation marks of Siyuan Song Style such as "," and "." are set to a compressed font width with a proportional width. In Illustrator, InDesign and other environments, they will be compressed by 50% for display by default. This often makes the punctuation appear too narrow. This version removes the compressed word width information of some symbols, allowing these punctuation marks to remain full-width in principle.
The font has been converted to TrueType format (.ttf). The support for software such as Word and PowerPoint is relatively complete (for example, it can be embedded in slides normally). It has high compatibility with some old applications.
Solve the problem that punctuation marks cannot rotate normally when the text is displayed vertically in Word and other environments. (Word 2007 / Word 2016 tested successfully. Conversion to PDF is also normal.)
Modify the unsatisfactory text correspondence of some KR versions, and unify some text components.

Chinese is divided into the modern universal writing method of the moon version (TW) and the traditional type writing method of the Dan (TC) version, and the punctuation has been changed back to the same width.
The Japanese version is divided into a fixed-width version (JP) and a proportional-width version (PJP).
