PolyQuilt is an add-on for Blender 2.8 that supports low-poly modeling. In addition to the simple, orthodox, and old-school lining function, it supports polygon modeling by allocating various functions to mouse operations such as drag and long press to minimize tool switching. It is also compatible with tablets and tablet PCs with digitizers, allowing for intuitive modeling while reducing the amount of operations required.

Please download and install it by selecting Edit → Settings → Add-ons → Install and specify the download destination. Once installed, you cannot use it yet, so search for PolyQuilt from the search bar and turn on the checkbox.
When you enter edit mode, an icon will be added under PolyBuild, so click on it to make PolyQuilt the active tool.
Various functions are assigned to click, drag, long press, and drag after long press. The following functions are assigned in combination with space and point/side surface elements. Alt works the same as hold. Alt key double click locks long press.

---|---|---|---|---|
space | Vertex creation → Plane → Loop cut | View rotation (tentative) | knife | |
point | Face covering | Move (combine) | Delete/melt | fan cut edge extrusion |
side | Insert vertex → surface | move | Delete/melt | Loop insertion edge extrusion loop cut |
surface | move | delete |
Hold Shift | function |
---|---|
Shift + click | AutoQuad |
Shift + drag | Brush |
Shift + middle button + drag | 2ndBrush |

You can move the view plane by dragging the mouse on points, lines, and planes. The vertices of an edge can be joined by moving them closer to the vertices of another edge.
A vertex is created by clicking on an empty space. Normally it will stay in plane mode, but if you set the geometry to point mode, you can create points continuously.
Start lining by clicking on an empty area or point. Each click adds a point, line, or plane. You can exit by clicking (same as double-clicking) or right-clicking on the last placed point and create a new surface.
You can select the geometry to be created from points, lines, triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons from the tool menu at the top of the screen.
Also, clicking on the vertex of the same surface will divide the surface.
Long press on a point, line, or surface to erase or melt that element. If there are shared lines or surfaces, they will be melted, otherwise they will be deleted.
You can execute a knife by long-pressing in space and dragging.
You can loop-cut an edge by long-pressing and dragging on the edge.
You can loop-cut the edges in a fan shape by long-pressing and dragging on a point.
Extrude the edge by long-pressing and dragging on the side or point.
insert edge loop
Cut the side loops

A special set of settings. For advanced users
You can check for updates and update Polyquilt to the latest version. If that doesn't work, please use the traditional method.
Set up a keymap for changing the viewpoint by right mouse button + dragging. The standard context menu is opened by clicking, so you can perform operations similar to major game engines such as Unity and UE4 without having to repeat the operations. Please note that since the keymap is rewritten, it may conflict with your own customization or other add-ons.
