Due to the copyright restrictions of zb4, although many people participated in writing extensions (rewritten based on zb4), the officially released code was written by zero alone.
Therefore, it is not perfect in terms of upgrades and patch releases, and it is not possible to fully manage all codes derived from zb4.
XE puts aside the shortcomings of these lock-in policies and chooses an open source development solution in which everyone can participate in development and can be continuously upgraded, as well as improve patch release measures.
With the participation of most people, the program itself has a rapid upgrade plan, and the open source policy without copyright indication allows developers and users to focus more on the management and maintenance of the website.
XE's open source project has brought about improved performance and stable web solutions with everyone's participation.
The XE open source project consists of development, translation/localization, textualization, reporting and other groups. So far, more than 200 people have participated in developing the core program of XE.
