Starry Sky is a very special game. All the elements in the game are not seen in other games. Therefore, if you want to play this game happily, you must know how to install and solve Starry Sky DLSS. OK. The strategy that the editor of Sourcecode.com brings to you today is to help you solve this problem. Let’s get to the point.
1. Unzip the mod to the game root directory
2. Open the UpscalerBasePlugin page, download it, and put the PDPerfPlugin.dll inside into the mods/UpscalerBasePlugin folder.
3. In the UpscalerBasePlugin page, download the corresponding DLL as needed. If you use DLSS, download nvngx_dlss.dll. If you use XeSS, download libxess.dll, and then put it into the mods/UpscalerBasePlugin folder.
4. Press END in the game to open the menu, you can turn on and off the mod, or switch DLSS/XeSS
5. Enable FSR2 in game settings
6. There are no more gears. You don’t need to choose quality, balance, or performance. You can adjust the rendering ratio directly in the settings.
noticed
DLSS/DLAA only supports RTX cards, Intel GPUs can use XeSS.
I included a ReShade CAS effect since DLSS doesn't have an integrated sharpener anymore.
If you want to install another ReShade preset, go ahead but remember to rename dxgi.dll from ReShade to d3d12.dll after installation and extract dxgi.dll from this mod again!
The performance improvement depends on how GPU-bound it is, if you don't see any improvement that's normal and you're most likely CPU-bound.
Even though you can't get more FPS with limited CPU, you can get superior AA from DLSS pipeline, or you can just use DLAA (performance cost).
In fact, the solution for how to install Starry Sky DLSS is very simple. I believe everyone can figure it out by doing their own research. If you have other better solutions, you might as well leave a message in the comment area and let me know, and I will update it quickly.
