The Nexus is located in the center of the Caudala Highlands in the northwest of the Borean Tundra, and is the home base of the Blue Dragonflight. The Demonic Nexus of normal difficulty is the first dungeon that players come into contact with when they first set foot in Northrend.
The blue dragon, Malygos, was given by the Titans tens of thousands of years ago to guard the world and protect the balance and harmony from being destroyed. However, after being horrified to discover that Deathwing had destroyed the entire blue dragonflight, Malygos, overwhelmed by grief, returned to his lair and became indifferent to the outside world, only to seem to take revenge on Deathwing for his evil deeds in the end. It will only reappear when the opportunity arises.
Malygos has only recently fully recovered. After waking up, he quickly confirmed the state of Azeroth's magic and stubbornly believed that they were out of control. He believed that this was caused by the reckless behavior of mortal races and their constant pursuit of magical power, and that it made the world more dangerous.
In order to "prevent a catastrophe", Malygos decided to control all unbridled magic in the world. And these huge forces will be directed to the Arcanomicon - a map of the world's magic network energy lines. Ever since Norgannon shared part of his power with Malygos tens of thousands of years ago, the Arcanomicon has been constantly upgrading and evolving during Malygos' time in seclusion.
Malygos used the Arcanomicon to set up and harness the Leyline energy lines, directing magical energy to his underground fortress in Northrend, the Nexus. Once he succeeds, the energy is concentrated through Nexus's ascending cycle and explodes into the Twisting Nether. Malygos's redirection of the Leyline's energy lines will have catastrophic consequences and will tear apart the world's surface, opening unstable rifts.
Malygos's ability to drain the magical power of the world did not go unnoticed by the mortal races. The weakened members of the Kirin Tor and the elite mages of Dalaran swore to fight Malygos to the bitter end. In fact, the mages have used their dwindling powers to levitate the entire city of Dalaran above Northrend. With favorable geographical advantages, the mages prepared for the inevitable conflict with Malygos, and also carefully prepared for the next battle against the Lich King.
However, not all of the Kirin Tor united. Some members choose to join the Blue Dragonflight to retain their power. With Malygos's change and support, these mage-hunters work to uproot and destroy all magical artifacts (if necessary); and redirect the ley lines of energy toward the blue dragon's stronghold.
What the Blue Dragonflight did was considered sinful by the Red Dragonflight. As guardians of life, the red dragonflight swore to stop Malygos at any cost. Eventually, they formed a council with the Kirin Tor and became active in subverting Malygos's campaign of destruction.
Commander Housu leads his troops against the Alliance's most dangerous enemies. The "Stagnation Hall" may have slowed him down, but as soon as he saw the tribal adventurers, he would immediately cheer up and run as fast as possible.
Commander Korurg scours the world in search of dangerous treasures to bolster the Horde's arsenal. Angered by his misfortune in the Halls of Stasis, he becomes even more enraged when he discovers that Alliance adventurers want to steal his thunder power.
According to legend, the archmage Teresta was the mentor of Prince Kael'thas. Although she believed the prince's alliance with the naga was foolish, she could not support Dalaran in imprisoning its own people. Malygos only had to remind her of this betrayal for her to volunteer as a mentor to his mage hunters.
Allowing so much of Azeroth's arcane energy to flow through the Nexus creates a rift in reality. As Malygos's armies attempted to repel the invading creatures, the chaotic arcane energy took the form of Anomarus. If this creature is not stopped in time, it will destroy everything it touches.
Hearthstone: Anomarus is made of chaotic arcane energy, so destroying it carries considerable risks.
The incredible arcane energy within the Nexus has transformed the Song Grove and its guardians. The simple-minded Omerok was possessed by the powerful energy that transformed him. For those intruders who interfere with his thinking, he rarely talks nonsense, but directly solves the problem with violence.
Whether the torture that Krisstrasa suffered was because of the death of Saragosa (Malygos's consort), or because Malygos wanted to turn her into her own consort, the answer is only Malygos herself. Only then did I know. Whatever his intentions, her companions could always hear her cries of agony and the uneasy murmurs of her fading consciousness.
Krisstrasza is a red dragon. Her story is a long one and ultimately a tragedy. Today, few people know her story. In Cordala, Krisstrasa's mission is to defeat Malygos's consort Shalagosa. She will give you a series of tasks, and you must assist her in completing them. In the end of this mission, Zaragosa was defeated by you and Christasa, but it had an unexpected ending. Malygos discovered Zaragosa's death, and in retaliation, he captured her. Krisstraza imprisoned her, tortured her, and forced her to become his spouse. Although you assisted her along the way and even became a friend, in the end you needed to kill her again because she has become the final boss of the Nexus. , this is really a tragedy.
