I believe many friends have the same feeling. The hard disk name after renaming under XP cannot be displayed normally under Win7. I have also had such worries. After many attempts and explorations, I finally got the solution. Now I will share the method. If there are any shortcomings, please give some advice from experts:
The reason why the hard disk cannot be displayed normally after being renamed under Win7 is because there are these two hidden folders in the root directory of each hard disk:
<I don’t know if there are other reasons, but mine is like this>
auto.exe and autorun.inf
These two files may have been created after the computer has been infected with viruses or some software has been used to immunize against viruses.
These two folders cannot be deleted normally, including entering safe mode, as I have already tried.
If you want the name of the hard disk to be displayed normally after naming, you must delete the two hidden folders described above. If you want to delete those two folders, after testing, you can easily achieve the goal with a small tool.
