The 7100 and 7127 I used before were both Envision Chinese version systems. There was no need to set the regional language and there was no problem in using them. Recently, I installed the English version of 7229 and then added the Chinese language package. Although the regional language selected during installation was Chinese (Simplified), I still found many problems. First of all, there are several software that can be installed in version 7127 but cannot be installed in version 7229. Thunder also has garbled characters. The most important thing is that my favorite game of Warcraft (Dota) cannot be played. After running, it will prompt that the language is not supported. After searching on the Internet, I finally solved this problem.
Although some people have discussed this issue in the forum, I found in the forum these days that many people are still troubled by this problem, so I posted this post. Here is the solution:
1. Control Panel-->Clock, Language and Region-->Region and Language-->Management-->Change system regional settings to Chinese (Simplified).
2. Enter "regedit" in "Start Menu" and press Enter --> open the Registry Editor.
Expand the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ControlNlsLanguage] branch in turn, find the two string values "Default" and "InstallLanguage" in the right window, double-click them respectively, and change them in the pop-up editing dialog box. Modify the numerical data to "0804" (the default is 0409), click the "OK" button to save.
3. Expand [HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelInternational] in the registry editor and change the "Locale" value data to "00000804" (the default is "00000409").
Note: Do not change 2 or 3. Warcraft can be played, but Thunder has garbled code;
If you only change it to 3, Thunder will no longer have garbled code, but Warcraft will not be playable;
2 and 3 have been changed and all problems are ok.
