Let’s do some analysis on Baidu SEO through the practical SEO experience of a website established last year in the past two months.
Speaking of this site, regarding a certain aspect of the tourism category, it was actually established in May last year. From the perspective of many people, it should be classified as a garbage station. This site is a single page type, and it only targets 4 or 5 keywords. After its establishment last year, it only took a few months to do some human flesh promotion in Baidu Tieba, Zhizhi, website forums and other places. There was no SEO optimization at that time. Looking at it from today's perspective, the title settings and description settings at that time were not even Some of the keywords are missing. Under such a situation, it is conceivable that for a long time, there was only traffic of less than a thousand IPs, and there was not much change. Later, I didn't care about it.
Things came to an end in October 2009, during the National Day period, when I suddenly remembered this site. I checked related keywords on Baidu and found that the popularity was pretty good, not too high (I generally don’t like keywords that are too popular). Cold, haha. For example, I generally don’t do keywords such as train tickets and weather forecasts.) One keyword has even reached more than 10,000 hits. Then I analyzed the situation of my competitors and found that the top opponents were not ranked strongly. So I decided to SEO this site.
First, I selected 4 keywords, 1 of which was relatively popular (more than 10,000), and the other 3 were about the same. My strategy is to focus on optimizing 2 of the keywords first. The main method is to put these two keywords first in the title and description, and put the other two keywords at the back. This rule is also followed when performing layout and keyword optimization (density, HTML tags, etc.) in web content. After the revision is completed. The first impression you get when you look at this site is that this site is about the keywords I want to optimize, and it has a clear primary and secondary hierarchy. Optimize well and upload space. Then there's the waiting.
On the second day, the first thing I did when I turned on the computer was Baidu. The result was a bit beyond my expectation. The website I revised yesterday, Baidu, has been included and updated, and the snapshots have also been updated. Looking at the keyword rankings, the two keywords I focused on optimizing have already appeared on the first page. Baidu's speed really surprised me. This once again confirms Baidu's sensitivity (it is really more sensitive than women!). I updated a few more articles that morning. As a result, at noon, I found that the newly updated article was included again, and I was convinced! Looking at the ranking again, it has risen several places. One of the other two keywords has also reached the first page, and the most popular one has also reached the first place on the second page. I'm a little excited and updated 2 more articles in the afternoon. After I got home in the evening, after dinner, the first thing I did when I turned on my computer was Baidu. As a result, three of the keywords ranked in the top three, and the other one also rose to the first page (10th). Up to this point, it can be said that Baidu SEO has won the first battle this time!
After the first day of fighting, I roughly summarized a few points. First of all, Baidu is very sensitive to the situation of a site like mine, which is a major revision. Baidu is not interested in such old sites (more than a year old, let’s call them old sites). ) has obviously given great importance to it, which also shows from one perspective that Baidu likes new things. This kind of revision was recognized by Baidu as something fresh and good. Secondly, it can be seen that Baidu likes sites with new content constantly appearing, so new web content should be added frequently.
So, I insisted on adding a few articles every day. After more than ten days, the two keywords I focused on optimizing were firmly in the first place. The remaining two are unstable. Sometimes they rush to the front of the first page, and sometimes they go to the back of the second page. At this time, I started to think that I should optimize these two keywords. Therefore, I modified the title and description of the website, including the content, and changed the focus of optimization, using these two keywords as key optimization targets.
On the second day, I searched Baidu full of hope and found that the rankings had not improved. I checked the collection status of the site again, and the result made me extremely depressed. I found that the home page snapshot was regressed by more than ten days. Originally, the home page snapshot was updated every day. I know, it must be the reason why I changed the title and description. This time the snapshot went back, but the ranking did not drop. It shows that Baidu hasn’t done anything to me yet. There was no other way, so I quickly changed the title and description back to the original. Then wait.
A week has passed and the snapshot has not been updated for me. The homepage of the site is no longer in the first place and the ranking has not changed. So, I thought I had to find a way to solve it, and that night I asked a friend for a PR6 homepage link. I checked again the next day and found that the snapshot had been restored, and the rankings of the other two keywords had also risen to the first page. Through this action, it illustrates the important role of high-quality external links in Baidu's inclusion and ranking.
In less than a month from the beginning, these four keywords brought about 20,000 traffic from Baidu, and the highest one day reached nearly 50,000.
Until now, my title and description have not been changed. Because so far I am not sure how long it will take for Baidu to change the title. Over a period of time, I successively added several high-quality external links, and at the same time kept updating the website every day. The rankings of the remaining 2 keywords slowly went up. So far, one is ranked first and the other is ranked second. The first two are still ranked first.
Practical summary:
It's not that TITLE cannot be changed, but it cannot be changed frequently. If you use it well, you will benefit a lot; if you use it improperly, you will be extremely depressed.
Baidu likes new things. The new here should actually be the concept of change, including: new content, new external links, website revisions and changes. In short, your website should not remain unchanged for a long time.
Keyword optimization (you can also understand it as stacking) is highly feasible for Baidu: don’t be stingy with your HTML tags: H1, H2, <b>, <i>, <a>. It is not recommended to use<strong>. The density can be higher in the initial stage of optimization, and the density should not exceed 10%.
High-quality external links play a very important role in inclusion and ranking, and spammy external links are not a problem.
Try your best to leave your footprints in places like Baidu HI, Baidu Zhizhi, and Baidu Encyclopedia.
There are two things you have to do every day, first: update the content; second: add a few more footprints in important places.
The above strategies are not suitable for GOOGLE and should not be copied.
The domain name should contain keywords as much as possible. For example, if you want to make train tickets, use huochepiao. If you want to make weather forecasts, try to use a domain name like www.tianqiyubaowang.com . However, this kind of domain name is hard to come by, it depends on luck, or you have to spend money to buy it.
The above are some practical summaries during this period, which I would like to share with you. Welcome to communicate.
