The Java-based business process management system JBPM 4.3 has been released. The main feature of the new version is the new implementation of BPMN 2.0.
JBPM is a very popular open source workflow engine on the market. The bottom layer of the engine is based on the Active Diagram model. As a sub-project of jBoss, it uses Hibernate and therefore has good support for mainstream databases.
BPMN stands for Business Process Modeling Notion. It is a method of describing business processes in a diagram similar to a flow chart. It is currently maintained and managed by the Object Management Group OMG. . jPDL (JBoss jBPM Process Definition Language) is one of the process languages built on the JBPM framework. It is not an open standard but has a natural affinity with jBPM. BPMN2 is an upgraded version that improves the accuracy of symbols, defines an industry-standard exchange format, provides a series of extension points, and supports orchestration.
