According to "Rocket League" developer Psyonix, in compliance with Epic Games' policies, the game will cancel the item trading function between players at 4 pm PDT on December 5. Thereafter, in-game items can no longer be exchanged, transferred, or sold between players.
In addition, Psyonix said that the removal of the trading feature will kick-start Rocket League's future plans. Over time, Rocket League vehicles will appear in other Epic Games games and support cross-game ownership. However, the developer did not specify which games will support this specific feature.
With the removal of player-to-player trading, the trade-in system for Rocket League blueprints and items will remain. Players can continue to trade in items they no longer need to randomly obtain new items of higher rarity. It’s important to note that Psyonix has also issued a warning about third-party trading sites, as these services will be considered fraudulent after the trading functionality is removed on December 5. The Rocket League support team is also unable to help players reverse trades before the deadline.
