Many players are confused about the location and function of the mage NPC in the game. It's actually not difficult to learn this information; if you're still not sure what to do with them, check out this guide.
These characters will appear in Place de la Noire.
Jed will exchange 200 gold for the player's 20 Chaos Gems.
Malind is standing near the portal. Spending 10 Chaos Gems at Malind will allow the player to choose which Council member they will encounter first for the rest of the game (as opposed to the usual random encounter order). The council member chosen is usually the member who defeated the player in the previous game, or a random councilor if this is the player's first game since starting the game.
Mr. Goodspeed is located in the lower left corner of Lannova Square. Spending 10 Chaos Gems on Mr. Goodspeed will activate the speed grind mode.
Mimi is in the storage room to the south of the player's house and asks the player to view their rune collection. Andres will also appear in the square when the player is close to him.
Tommy is in the library to the east of the player's house and asks the players to check out their arcane collection. Iris will also appear in the square when the player is near him.
Ward is in the west bedroom of the player's house and asks the players to look at their cloak collection. Savile will also appear in the square when the player is near him
Kami is only found in the main room of the player's house, and players can save a record of the current version before starting the game (four arcana, one rune, and cloak) for quick access or to record a favorite version. Up to twelve builds can be saved at a time, each named after the cloak. Cursed runes purchased from Knox in the square will not be recorded.
Melody is only found in the player's house above the storage room to the south, and she allows the player to change the background music to tracks from the 'Sleep Prescription' or 'Piano Collection' albums, or switch back to the original soundtrack. The upper part of the jukebox changes color depending on the album currently playing, with red representing the original soundtrack, purple representing sleep prescriptions, and blue representing the piano collection.
Viris is only found in the west bedroom of the player's house. Talking to him will allow the player to replay the tutorial level in the museum.
Each level has a green, purple, and red special room, represented by the color of the portal that appears in the special room. The green portal is always the craftsman Andres, while the purple portal is always the artist Iris. However, one of the following characters will appear randomly in the red room: Knox the Unfortunate, Taffy, Doctor Song, Claymir the Collector, Nocturn the Card Player, Doki the Banker, or Savile.
Andres runs the Rune Shop, which provides 5 random runes from the public pool that players have unlocked and a healing potion. The price of a healing potion is always 100 gold, but the price of a rune depends on the rune itself. Some runes are sometimes sold for 10% less than the normal gold price. Healing Potions are never on sale.
Andres will also appear in Lannova Square, where players can use Chaos Gems to permanently unlock runes.
Iris runs the Arcane Shop, which provides 5 random arcana cards from the public pool that players have unlocked, two of which are enhanced arcana cards. The price will vary depending on the type of arcane and whether it is an enhanced arcane. Some arcane spells are sometimes sold for 10% less than the normal gold price. She will not sell Arcane spells that the player already owns, unless the Arcane spell is enhanceable (or the Arcane spell is in the player's inventory). The price of purchasing the corresponding enhanced arcana with unenhanced arcana is cheaper than purchasing the enhanced arcana directly.
Iris will also appear in Lannova Square, where players can use Chaos Gems to permanently unlock arcane spells. She also sells special arcana spells if the player has not unlocked all of them. The price of special arcane spells is always 50 Chaos Gems.
Savile is a clothing merchant. By spending 100 gold and 100 health (1 health is reserved for the player if the player's health is below 101), he will upgrade the player's cloak, making it 50% more effective. If the player is using the standard Cloak of Hope or Patience, he will upgrade it to its full enhanced version. The adventure's health-lowering effects are not affected by the boosting effects.
While holding a Totem of Grace, Savile is guaranteed to appear on the next level (if possible) and he upgrades the player's cloak without spending health or gold (but the player loses the Totem of Grace).
Xavier will also appear in Lannova Square, where he will sell his cloak for 75 Chaos Gems. You can also spend 5 Chaos Gems to change the effect of the player's current cloak to Savile's Special (a mixed effect of vitality and rhythm). Attempting to upgrade the altered cloak during a trial will restore and enhance the effect of the previous cloak.
Knox will provide players with 5 cursed runes. Runes are free but players can only choose one at a time. Curse runes are very powerful but have negative effects and cannot be removed for the remainder of the trial. These runes can only be obtained from Nox, and there is a small chance of obtaining them from mini-bosses or treasure chests.
Holding the Totem of Doom will cause Nox to appear on the next level (if possible).
After defeating Master Sura once, Nox will appear in the upper left corner of Lannova Square and sell some cursed runes. The runes purchased here are only valid for the current game and need to be repurchased in the next game round.
Dr. Song will tell the player that she is "researching the effects of long-term use of arcane spells" and asks for an arcane spell. If the player accepts, she will take away an arcane spell at random (preferring the unenhanced arcane spell) and give the player one of the six physician runes, or three health orbs. She also offers healing potions that cost 75 gold.
Holding a Life Totem will cause Dr. Song to appear on the next level (if possible) and Dr. Song will ask for the totem instead of the arcane spell.
Pinata Taffy wants players to knock him out with a powerful enough combo. The combo starts from the first hit, and the player has approximately 5 seconds to reduce Taffy's health to 0. If the player fails to defeat Taffy before the timer expires, he will teleport to the center of the room, regain his lost health and laugh at the player. If the player defeats Taffy, he will drop an enhanced arcane spell and about 50 gold.
Holding the Victory Totem will cause the pinata Taffy to always appear on the next level (if possible) and the player only needs to hit it once to destroy the Taffy.
Claymir will buy the player's runes. To do this, the player needs to walk near Claymir, open the backpack, move the cursor to the rune to be sold and press the interact button (default is F). Claymir will then pay 40% of the rune store value in gold. The gold price paid cannot be viewed until picked up.
Holding the Victory Totem guarantees that Claymir will appear on the next level (if possible) and doubles the gold price Claymir pays.
Nocturn will randomly take away one of the player's standard arcana (preferring unenhanced arcana) and shuffle it with the other four cards. All arcana are enhanced arcana (including unenhanced arcana taken from the player). Enhanced arcana). After Nocturne shuffles the deck, the 5 arcane cards will face away from the player. The player can then choose two of the 5 cards (players rarely find any enhanced arcana from Nocturne). Arcana taken away). This process is free except for the Arcana taken away, but the player is guaranteed to always receive an Enhanced Arcana as compensation.
Holding a Lucky Totem will cause Nocturne to appear on the next level (if possible) and Nocturne will ask for the totem instead of the arcane spell.
Nocturne will also appear in Lannova Square, where players can spend 10 Chaos Gems to randomize cloaks (except Pride), runes, and arcane spells the next time they enter the Trial.
Doki will exchange Chaos Gems for all the player's gold. The amount of gems returned is equal to 9% of the gold amount (for example, if she gets 100 gold, then the player will get 9 chaos gems).
Holding the Wealth Totem will ensure that Doki will appear on the next level (if possible) and will increase the return rate for transactions with more than 20 Chaos Gems to 12.5%.
The strange timer can be found to the right of the portal at the end of Sura's Challenge, and will return the player to the beginning of the trial (preserving the player's current runes and arcane spells, as well as upgrades). Each time the player reaches Sura's room, he can be spoken to to continue Endless Mode. Or simply ignore him and challenge Master Sura to end Endless Mode.
