Foreword: In early April 2010, I sent a proposal letter of nearly 600 words to a well-known webmaster navigation website. When I got the words "Thank you for the suggestion" the next day, there was no follow-up; and this There are still no changes to the home webmaster navigation site! Maybe the webmaster is busy, or maybe the webmaster doesn’t care about my suggestions; but for me, I am very disappointed: because I spent time observing and thinking, to write;
Text: From April this year to now, the number of webmaster navigation systems in Baidu has evolved from a few to dozens; but among these dozens, few truly show their individuality!
1. User experience, how many points can you get?
User experience, this is not an empty talk, but needs to be implemented with actions! Neither SEO nor PR can replace the user experience, because users don’t care at all how many Baidu indexes you have or how high your PR is! (Have users of Hao123 asked about its inclusion and PR?)
If you ask me to rank, the first one is user experience; - if your user experience is very poor, then even if you rank first in the search engine, users will not visit it a second time;
2. What is the focus of your website?
If every classification is a key point, then there is no key point! According to my observation, the basic webmaster navigation station seems to be carved out of the same mold! It is not that the 114La system is used, but it is so similar that it is indistinguishable.
3. What are the features of your website?
If the navigation station is the site that is least likely to create features, it is determined by positioning! Webmaster navigation belongs to the industry navigation, right? So what are your features? If 80% of the content of your website is like Hao123,265 The same as the navigation station, then you don't name it so-and-so webmaster navigation! - Because you can't deceive the webmaster, at most, I will give you an IP;
4.What are your website standards?
What are standards? The standards here refer to your website type positioning, user group positioning, and website inclusion standards;
Take website type positioning as an example: Webmaster A’s navigation is to serve the webmaster, Webmaster B’s navigation is for PR, Webmaster C’s navigation is to earn traffic, then the standards of these three navigation stations are worlds apart! So! Say, your original intention of building a website depends on the development of your website!
In the field of webmaster navigation, I found that the content of several websites is almost exactly the same - even the mistakes are the same! (Can the navigation station also be collected? It seems that I am Out!)
5. Do you really think carefully about users’ suggestions?
I am not a stingy person, and I am not writing this because my suggestions have not been adopted, but the development of a website can never be separated from the support of users!
To put it simply: the webmaster is the "driver", you can take this website forward; and the users are the "car GPS", their suggestions (opinions) can make your website better!
What I wrote above is just using the webmaster navigation as an introduction. In fact, it is the same for any type of website! To rephrase a sentence: first-rate websites create standards, second-rate websites follow standards, and third-rate websites have no standards;
Finally, I would like to end with a sentence: If your website wants to achieve long-term development, you should practice your internal skills first; because this is the cornerstone of website development!
