Operate underlying logic
The skill output of the milk knife is proportional to the number of butterflies. Try to play the skill when there are 6 full layers of butterflies to maximize the output. After completing the aerial derivation of the Genji/Kagura stance (jump a, aaa, cut stance), you will get a sum of butterflies when you land (but will not enter the special derivation).
Special derivation and output loops
① In the game tutorial, it is said that combo switching starts, hereafter referred to as special derivation.
② While in Genji's stance, press and hold the basic attack to charge up (charging is very slow without Kagura's special derivation). After full stack, let go. It also has a faster charging speed after having 4 or more layers of butterflies, so there is no reason to give it up.
Output routine after chapter 5 of the main story
Start with the Overlord Butterfly skill. After Genji makes two basic attacks, dodge and cancel, then pan to approach the enemy. After cutting Kagura, press and hold Setsuna (4 layers of butterfly). Release the full charge (butterfly clears 0). Enter Kagura combo. Two cycles (6 levels of butterfly), use Xian Yue at the end of the previous cycle, immediately use Jing Hua Sui Yue to get closer, and continue the Kagura combo cycle.

The core output of the milk knife lies in the continuous cycle, followed by the skills.
