1. System requirements:
This system passed the test in REDHAT7.2 version
2. Server-side software requirements:
1: Go to the APACHE website to download APACHE WEB SERVER http://www.apache.org/
2. Go to the PHP website to download PHP parser http://www.php.net/
3. Go to the mysql website to download mysql http://sourceforge.net/projects/mysql/
3. Install and debug WEB SERVER.
Download the above files and put them in the same directory. I put them under /usr/local and use the tar command to unpack each file.
tar zxvf apache_1.3.12.tar.gz
tar zxvf php-4.0.6.tar.gz
tar zxvf mysql-3.22.40.tar.gz
In order to facilitate installation, it is recommended to name the directory
#mv apache_1.3.12 apache
#mv php-4.0.6 php
#mv mysql-3.22.40 mysql
installation mysql
4. You can install mysql before installing the web service
cd mysql
./configure
make
of make install
will take a certain amount of time depending on the performance of the machine. After the compilation is completed, the system will install mysql under /usr/local by default.
After the installation is completed, first start the mysql process cd /usr/local/bin
./mysql_install_db (install the basic database of mysql)
./safe_mysqld & (start the process and transfer it to the background)
At this point, the mysql installation is completed. Try running ./mysql to see if you can connect to the database. If it is normal, you should be able to see an interface like this.
Welcome to the MySQL monitor.Commands end with ; or g.
Your MySQL connection id is 880 to server version: 3.22.40
Type 'help' for help.
mysql>
Congratulations on completing the installation of mysql.
For the use of mysql, you can refer to his doc document
5. Integrating apache and php4
is the key to all work and the most difficult step. It may be due to different versions during the installation process. If there are errors of this kind, you can make corresponding modifications based on the version information.
First, cd apache
./configure.
This seems to be optional, but I once made an error because I did not do this step, so this step is necessary.
cd ../php
./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local --with-apache=/usr/local/apache --enable-track-vars
make
make install
cd ../apache
./configure --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
make
make install
is to install the apache WEB service. You can look at ./configure –help to add the required modules yourself, or refer to the installation manual for installation.
Copy the php configuration file to the corresponding directory
cd ../php
cp php.ini-dist /usr/local/lib/php.ini
php.ini basically does not need to be modified. If you want to modify it, you can refer to the corresponding instructions.
After configuring PHP, it’s time to configure Apache Web SERVER. First configure httpd.conf
cd /usr/local/apache/conf
vi httpd.conf
needs to modify the following content for php:
# AddType application/x-httpd-php. php
# AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phpsRemove
the comments in the above two lines, and determine the suffix name of the php document according to the actual situation. According to the needs of horde, it is recommended that you change the first line to the following form
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3 .htm .phtml .php4
In addition, you need to modify the system's default homepage type. It is recommended to change DirectoryIndex index.htm to this:
DirectoryIndex index.htm index.html index.php3 index.php default.php
