discuz backend: Global » Optimization Settings » The profile page (space.php) in the search engine optimization settings is static. To put it bluntly, for most users, this is not optimizing the discuz forum, but the opposite. Very bad for SEO.
A long time ago, I was wondering why this page was pseudo-static. What’s interesting is that the default robots.txt rules of dz prohibit the inclusion of space.php. Maybe they have been aware of this SEO problem (see related: discuz seo is changing quietly), the reason why this option is provided may be just for compatibility with previous versions.
Generally speaking, for the sake of SEO, do not choose to make the profile page (space.php) static. If you want to kill some time, or like to get to the bottom of things, here's the explanation.
1. Profile pages are all the same thing. Few people write self-introductions, resulting in a large number of web pages with similar content.
2. By default, visitors are not allowed to access personal profile pages, so they will get a prompt information page. Discuz does not add meta robots to prohibit inclusion of such pages, which results in many pages with the same content.
Therefore, do not choose static. Dz’s robots.txt also prohibits dynamic forms by default. Of course, SE will deal with such problems after a period of judgment. For a new site, removing these useless pages will allow SE to build weight faster.
