In the past few days, I encountered something that gave me a very headache. That is, my own website was "demoted" to Baidu. I thought hard for several days, trying to find out the root cause of the incident. The website has been established for more than 2 years, PR = 3. It is an education and training website, so most of the content is original, and the update rate is relatively frequent. Baidu snapshots are updated almost every day. The keywords are always between the 1st and 3rd positions on the homepage, which is considered stable. However, the past few days have hit me hard. I checked the webmaster tool a few days ago and found that the PR value has not changed and Baidu snapshots are also normal. It’s just that dozens of items suddenly disappeared from the collection. When I entered the keywords, I found him almost on the third page. The ranking dropped directly from the original 1st to 18th. I was so anxious at the time that I used almost all webmaster tools to check the authenticity. The data shows that this is indeed the case. The next day I checked my email and inexplicably received an email from "Biniu.com". The content is probably: Dear Mr. ***, friendly reminder: Your *** domain name is suspected to have been demoted by search engines. Please click this link to view it (Baidu snapshot, homepage ranking, etc.). I was dumbfounded at that time, knowing that the site must have been "demoted".
When a site is treated like this by search engines, one thing is for sure: it stimulates search engines in some way.
At that time, I tried my best to find out the reason. Later I discovered several doubts:
1. Over-optimization. It may be because I posted too frequently on major website platforms some time ago, and also collected several industry news information. Causes search engines to consider it as SEO cheating.
2. Friendly links. I analyzed my friendships and found a total of 13, 4 pictures and 7 texts. And most of them have backlinks, so there shouldn’t be any problems. But later I discovered that there was a problem with a friendly site and it had been inaccessible for several weeks, causing a dead link. This friend link has now been removed.
3. Server access speed. I pinged the IP of my site and found that there was a problem with the access speed. It took 8-10 seconds for a page to be displayed. This may also be a reason why the website is downgraded.
The above are the suspicious factors found through analysis of the site. And has been optimized and repaired. I believe that the website can be restored to its original state after a period of time.

4. Check the server regularly. Check whether the server where the site is located is running stably, etc.
5. Website security. Regularly check the security status of the site to see if it has been attacked or maliciously posted spam by members.
