Friends who often read my blog should probably be able to see the theme direction of my blog. My blog is not dedicated to writing SEO theoretical knowledge, because I am also a novice in SEO myself, and I don’t have much theoretical knowledge to learn and master. I only know how to write about it. To mislead others, friends often add me on QQ to ask me how I do SEO, and some ask me where I learned SEO. I might as well tell you here today that I have never received SEO training or theoretical knowledge, no matter what Believe it or not, this is the fact, because I firmly believe that practice brings true knowledge.
Except for some of the articles written in my blog are reprints, the rest are some experiences and new ones I have summarized through practicing SEO. I just hope to give some suggestions and help to those SEO novices like me. I hope it will help They should take less detours. Perhaps it can be described as a lesson learned from the past and a guide for the future.
Let’s get to the point first. The topic we want to talk about today is to explore the relationship between website external links and website rankings. So first of all, we must understand what external links are? As the name suggests, external links, also called backlinks, are links from external websites to your own website. As for querying the number of external links, you can use tools to query, or you can use query commands to query in search engines. For example, the Baidu query external link command is domain:. In fact, this cannot be said to be external links, but related domains, that is, pages crawled by Baidu. If your URL appears in a domain, it is considered a related domain. Google's is link:, but everyone says that Google's is inaccurate. I have a website that has been working for more than a year. Google's backlinks have always been in single digits, while Baidu and Yahoo's backlinks have been rising. The other is Yahoo. The Yahoo backlink query command is linkdomain:. Yahoo’s backlink is updated relatively quickly and is recognized as the most accurate. In the results of using this command, your website links will exist in the form of hyperlinks. Generally, They are all keyword links.
Now that you know how to query the backlinks of major search engines, you can also analyze the existence form of backlinks based on the query results:
1. Text URL: This kind of backlink can usually only be found on Baidu, which is a simple URL form, such as http://www.***.com/seo-wltg /41.html. If your article is If someone reposts the article without removing the link, once the reprinted article is included by Baidu, you will add a Baidu backlink, or if you leave your URL in the forum and it happens to be crawled by Baidu, this is also a Baidu backlink.
2. Hyperlink form: This backlink can be a keyword link, such as Guangzhou SEO, or a URL link, such as http://www.***.com (In fact, the effect of this backlink is the same as that of a plain text URL Same). Keyword links can be divided into two types: with nofollow and without. The nofollow attribute of the link means to prompt search engines not to follow it.
So what is the impact of the above two backlinks on website rankings? You can check the websites of your peers that are ranked high on Baidu. Their Baidu backlinks are generally not very few, but there is a question here. Does the more Baidu backlinks the better the ranking of the website? This is not absolute. Isn’t there a saying that can often be heard in SEO? Content is king, and external links are king. This external link usually refers to the keyword incoming link, and an important factor that affects the keyword ranking of the website is the keyword. The quantity of incoming links is greater than the quality. The quantity includes nofollow and no keyword incoming links, while the quality comes from the incoming links with higher weight. This can generally be achieved by exchanging friendly links or purchasing links.
Based on practical observation and analysis, we draw the following conclusions that need to be verified (using my blog as an analysis case):
1. The biggest factor affecting keyword rankings is keyword import links, and weight is not the main factor: My keyword import link text is usually Guangzhou SEO. It took me more than 20 days to rank this keyword first in Baidu. , because the keywords of my friend links all use this word, the blog comments also use this word, the forum signatures are all set with this word, and the internal links also use this word. If we want to talk about the weight of the website, since I have a new site for three months and Guangzhou SEO has been using it for less than a month, the weight should be as low as possible. And the top rankings for this word are all old sites that are more than half a year old and have a much higher weight than my website.
2. Baidu backlinks have an impact on keyword rankings. Since I haven't added external links to my website in the past month, Baidu's backlinks once dropped from more than 5,000 to 2,000, and the lowest to more than 1,900. During this period, the main keyword Guangzhou SEO did not decline due to the support of keyword external links, while other keywords such as Guangzhou website optimization once dropped from the first to the second page. And Baidu backlinks have increased the ranking of this word and risen again. Therefore, although Baidu backlinks cannot affect the ranking of all keywords, there are definitely not very few Baidu backlinks from websites with high ranking keywords. For Baidu SEO, the more Baidu backlinks, the better.
3. Instable keyword import links will lead to a decline in keyword ranking and inclusion. This may cause the website to be regarded as unstable. Some time ago, my own website removed some friendly links that had not been updated for a long time, the snapshots were lagging, and the website was demoted. As a result, Baidu and Google included it less, especially Google, from one thousand to Many were reduced to less than a hundred.
Why do I say that these conclusions need to be verified? Because these conclusions come from only a few websites and are not representative. Therefore, in specific practice, the specific conditions should be treated on a case-by-case basis. Please correct me if I can't write it. I have always believed that there are a thousand Hamlets for a thousand readers.
