The Dark Portal is probably the most intriguing expansion card in Warlock, and it's likely to be abused at some point in its standard life. A smart idea would be to run this card in a "large" version of Quest Warlock, cutting out early game minions (except Kanrethad), as it has the potential to blow up your opponent mid-game with a huge threat. Quest Warlocks are already incentivized to run large minions due to their quest rewards, so there's great synergy here.
The prototype also received a new and potentially exciting Grand Servant. The enhanced Dreadlord was basically created to resurrect Kanrisad Prime, and the Scrap Colosseum was the massive Dark Portal target. Warlocks are also one of the two classes we feel are best suited to use Magtheridon. We know he doesn't perform well on Kanrethad Prime, but there's no denying Mag's value in faster games. His combination with Infernal Fire or Mad Void Wings can win outright, while in slower matchups we can only save Mago after playing as Kanlessaad Prim.
Finally, Plot Twister is the perfect enabler for Kli'dan the Breaker, giving us a second Twisting Nether effect built into a cheap minion, reducing the need to run clunky spells.
