Hello everyone, last week we talked about the topic of resource cooperation and promotion. Due to the large amount of content, we only shared the first part last week. Today we will share the second part. Note that this article is not the final one. There are four articles in this series. In fact, in actual work, everyone knows the importance of resource cooperation. The key is that many people have no resources to use, so today Jiang Likun is here to talk to you about how to tap resources!
1. Create your own resources without asking for help.
The resources of any company or individual do not appear randomly. They all go through a process of creation from scratch. Not having resources is not scary, the key is to have a heart that dares to imagine and create. As the saying goes, if there are conditions, we should go up, and if there are no conditions, we should create conditions. We can create some resources according to our own needs.
If you are willing and combine the content and knowledge mentioned above, you can create many resources. For example, for knowledge and skills in a specific field, you can organize relevant content on the Internet into a systematic, comprehensive, and complete series of e-books or e-magazines, and then use this resource to collaborate with others.
Another example is downloading all relevant media address books and user lists that can be found for free on the Internet, and then re-categorizing, filtering and correcting them. This has become a very valuable media resource and user resource.
In fact, there are many free resources on the Internet. As long as we are careful and effectively integrate and utilize these free resources, they can play a very big role, and even themselves can produce very large economic benefits. For example, when the author was about 20 years old, he used to sell marketing software on the Internet. In fact, these software are all free or cracked versions found on the Internet. However, because the free software on the Internet is not concentrated, and there are a large number of Trojans and viruses hidden in it, many people do not have the conditions to collect them piece by piece. So after the author collected all available and safe software, it became a resource in short supply. When business was good, net profits could reach tens of thousands per month.
2. Integrate resources to enjoy the cool weather
As the saying goes, find a big tree to enjoy the shade. If we can integrate some high-quality companies or celebrities, it will be a great help to us.
For example, online interviews are a simple and effective integration method. First of all, all the guests who participate in the talk show are high-quality human resources. Secondly, when interviews begin to be released to the outside world, these publishing channels will slowly accumulate and become media resources. Moreover, we can also find some media and units as co-organizers and supporting media for the interview to increase the authority and influence of the interview. Eventually, when the interview becomes more knowledgeable and influential over time, the interview itself becomes a brand.
Another example is offline industry salons and exchange meetings, which are also very good ways to integrate resources. Through salons and exchange meetings, you can accumulate a lot of network resources, and over time, the salon itself will gradually form a brand effect.
3. Make good use of friends’ resources
Our own resources are limited, but the resources of our friends are unlimited. And as friends, with a deep emotional foundation, they will certainly be obligated to help us introduce some people and do small things to the best of their ability. Therefore, we must learn to make friends with many heroes and understand the strengths and resources of each friend. This is true for individuals as well as for companies. For cooperative units with good relationships, we should dig deeper and make use of them without being polite.
In fact, many people do not have many resources around them, but they just lack a pair of eyes that are good at observation and discovery. For example, the author knows a fresh college student who has been rushing around for work. But as far as I know, there are a few people in this classmate’s circle of friends who have a lot of resources, and they can at least help him find a good job. But it's a pity that he himself didn't know that his friend had these advantages, and he never paid attention to these problems.
4. Make clever use of expertise as resources
Everyone has some specialties and hobbies, such as singing, dancing, etc. But have you ever thought that these humble hobbies and talents can also be used as resources? At the 1989 Spring Festival Gala, there was a sketch called "Recruitment", which was about a company recruiting employees. One of the most important requirements is that they must be able to drink. Although it is just a sketch, it can reflect the problem very well. Some specialties and hobbies can not only be used as resources, but can also be used to great extent.
For example, for those who can write, they can exchange articles or gather resources, or even directly create a famous blog. For another example, people who are good at organizing and planning can expand resources by planning and organizing various activities. Even having more time is an advantage. You can use your free time to establish and develop a Weibo. When you have more than 100 fans, it is equivalent to having an internal magazine; if you have more than 1,000 fans, it is a bulletin board; if you have more than 10,000 fans, it is a magazine. ; If it exceeds 100,000, it is a metropolitan newspaper; if it exceeds 1 million, it is a national newspaper; if it exceeds 10 million, it is a TV station; if it exceeds 100 million, it is CCTV.
5. Network is the best resource
No matter what you do, you cannot do without people. People are the basic elements of social networks. So connections are the best resource. Including the ones mentioned above, they are all inseparable from people. The simplest example is that if you know few people, it will be difficult to find a job. For example, in the Internet industry, it is relatively difficult for online editors to find a job. A very important reason is that this profession contacts relatively few people, and they just sit in front of the computer and update articles every day. It is relatively easy for marketing staff to find a job, because the nature of their work requires them to come into contact with a large number of people. The more people they know, the more opportunities they have.
Regarding the topic of how to expand your network, there will be a special introduction in the following chapters.
6. Brand is the greatest resource
When we say that someone is better or that a certain company is better, it is often because they have a better background, reputation, and influence. In other words, as long as it is a person or company with a brand, we consider it a high-quality resource. From this we can draw the conclusion that if our own brand is improved, it will also be a resource advantage. Of course, establishing a company's big brand is a long-term process, but we can first establish some small brands within a certain range, and accumulate a little to make a big difference.
For example, create brand activities, such as salons, exchange meetings, annual meetings, etc. in the industry. Another example is creating famous blogs and opening brand columns in the media. It can also be about promoting people, such as turning the company's founders, management, outstanding employees, etc. into industry stars.
7. Good resources rely on accumulation
As the saying goes, it takes ten years to grow trees and a hundred people to educate people. There is no shortcut to success, and good resources cannot be achieved overnight. Statistics from Jeffrey Timmons of Harvard Business School show that the average age of entrepreneurs who create high-potential companies is around 35 years old. Why are people in their 30s more likely to succeed in starting a business? The reason is that the various resources accumulated in this age group are relatively abundant and mature. For example, experience, connections, background, key points, etc.
Therefore, if you want to have good resources, the most important thing is to pay attention to daily accumulation and maintenance. For example, several of my friends have a common habit: when they return home from a party, they will immediately send text messages or emails to new friends at the party to establish contact. And they will also create an Excel sheet to record the people they know, such as their age, birthday, work information, specialty resources, etc. And every New Year and holiday, blessings will be sent through text messages and other methods. Anyone who has this habit is rich in resources and has relatively high positions and achievements.
