Today I read an article about backlink anchor text, and I think it’s pretty good. The author emphasized the diversity of anchor text (diversity of anchor text itself, location, and source) and the stability of growth. There is no need to talk about stability, that is a good habit - although many webmasters still don't insist on it. Here I will talk about the anchor text precautions for backlinks based on my personal experience.
1. Anchor text should be diverse. Diversification means that when there are enough external links (generally more than 20 external links with pr>0), it is best not to use the same anchor text. For example, I use "Guangzhou seo" to point to my website www.seotg.net. When there are a lot of external links, try to avoid using the word "Guangzhou SEO" all the time. Instead, you should appropriately choose to use "Guangzhou SEO", "Guangzhou SEO" and other related words. There was a time when I found that while my Baidu ranking rose sharply, my Google ranking dropped sharply. Later, I searched online and found that all the anchor texts mentioned in "over-optimization" were of the same height, so I modified it and found that the effect was indeed the same. Remarkable! Google ranking has gone up again. It is particularly pointed out here that based on personal experience, Baidu is not very sensitive to this point, while Google is more careful! (In fact, Google also pays special attention to the optimization of internal pages, so the anchor text links should not be highly unified to the home page, but can be appropriately pointed to internal pages. )
2. Anchor text cannot be generalized. It is said above that there is no need to diversify. This is based on the basics. If you have very few external links and there are less than 10 or even 5 external links from pages with PR, then there is no need to consider diversification! After all, external links are Anchor text plays a major role in the keyword ranking of the website. I once conducted an experiment to examine whether it is better to use keywords accurately as anchor text or to use longer related keywords (for example: www.seotg.net For the word "Guangzhou SEO", is it better to use "Guangzhou SEO" as the anchor text or "Guangzhou SEO Company" or others?) I found that the result of using precise anchor text is that the ranking of this anchor text rises rapidly, and some related The word cannot be found at all; the result of using generalized related words is that many related words can be ranked, but none of them do well. From here you can see that it is not good to overgeneralize the anchor text, especially when we are eager to include an important keyword. Of course, it also needs to be considered based on specific needs.
My humble opinion, just for reference!
