In the rapidly developing Internet, and in the Internet where we continue to hear about financing and venture capital, we have to believe that the second decade of the 21st century will be the period of the Internet's "Battle of One Hundred Regiments." China's Internet will form a situation where several giants compete with each other, and there will even be more Baidu, Tencent, and Alibaba. Their power waxes and wanes, but in the end it is China’s vast number of netizens who benefit. Because no matter how they change, it is all for the convenience of netizens, that is, user experience, and user recognition is the cornerstone of their survival.
Speaking of user experience, today I will talk to you about my personal opinions on user experience. If there are any similarities, I am not honored.
A successful website user experience may not necessarily be successful
We surf the Internet every day, but what are the websites we must visit every day? Why do we visit them (PS: This is not the other, you know). The answer is obvious, because we need to. Baidu, Sina, and QQ are inseparable from most people, including me, Taobao, and Ganji.com are also websites I log in to frequently. A careful analysis of their success mainly focuses on two points:
1 Authoritativeness
After a long period of accumulation, their information and services have been accepted by the public. Here are my two favorite Baidu products: one is Baidu Knows, and the other is Baidu Encyclopedia. Due to work needs, I often look up some questions. These two products can often help me find the answers I want, thus forming trust in them.
2 Ease of use
Ease of use is a major element of user experience. The most important thing about ease of use is that the page is simple and elegant. In this regard, Baidu, Ganji and other classified information websites have done a good job. The pages may seem simple but contain content, and they may seem monotonous but have powerful functions.
Although they are successful, of course they have some shortcomings, such as:
① Complex and perverted verification codes look safe, but are actually very inconvenient for users.
② Although the search results are much more accurate than in previous years, there are still many fake and artificial parts.
③ There are more and more fancy portals with more and more advertisements. Fake news is rampant, tricking netizens into clicking.
④ The increasing development of online shopping has brought us convenience, but it has also brought disputes and fake goods.
⑤ Being harassed for no reason, or even doxxed, there is no privacy at all on the Internet.
⑥ Following trends is serious and there is a lack of innovation, making it difficult for netizens to make choices. Take Weibo as an example. I have three Weibo posts, and I struggle with where to post my feelings every day. There are more and more SNS, but our choices are getting less and less.

2. Small and medium-sized websites should put user experience first
Different from the user groups targeted by portal websites, small and medium-sized websites, especially industry websites, do not need to be comprehensive. They only need to "serve" the target users well. Compared with portal websites, small and medium-sized websites have their own advantages:
① The user group is relatively small, making it easier to grasp and understand user browsing habits. In order to improve the user experience in a targeted manner.
② The content is relatively easy to create. In fact, high-quality content is the best “weapon” to retain users. For example, take the building materials industry website www.1236.tv as an example. The content mainly focuses on the building materials industry. Use more long-tail keywords and publish more original content. Over time, the weight will naturally increase. Everyone knows that Baidu prefers originality, so if we want our website to perform well on Baidu, then we should invest more in it. If you don't understand Baidu's preferences, I suggest you read the Baidu SEO Guide V1.0 released by Baidu last year, carefully understand what Baidu means, and insist on doing it. I believe it will benefit you a lot.
③ The boat is easy to turn around. We constantly analyze user browsing habits. If we find that a certain page has a high bounce rate, we can promptly analyze and adjust or even change the page. However, once the portal is positioned incorrectly, it will waste more resources and cycles to recover.
The above is just the author's own opinion, and the examples cited are only those I have come into contact with. Of course, user experience is everywhere, and this article only mentions a few aspects. In short, regardless of the size of the website, users need to be retained. How to provide a good user experience while catering to search engines will be a problem faced by all websites. My QQ number is 1790666852, please communicate more.
