Dreamweaver MX Example: Building a Java Plug-in Module

Java is a programming language. Java applet (Java applet) is an application that evolved on the basis of Java and can be embedded in a web page and can perform certain small tasks.

Effect Description: Create a file, take the Java calculator as an example, insert the Applet object, and set the height and width, as shown in Figure 35-1. For actual effects, please browse the source files on the CD accompanying the book.

Creative Thoughts Open the new page of Dreamweaver MX 2004 software, execute the [Insert]∣[Media]∣[Applet] command to insert the Applet object, and then set the height and width.

Operation steps

(1) Create a new basic page. Open the Dreamweaver MX 2004 software and create a new file, as shown in Figure 35-2.

(2) Save the page. For ease of operation, save the created basic page, as shown in Figure 35-3.

(3) Insert program. After saving the page, you can operate the page. First, insert the Java applet. The operation is shown in Figure 35-4.

(4) Set parameters. Select the icon after inserting the program, and then set the parameters of the Applet object in the property bar, as shown in Figure 35-5.

(5) Save the file to complete the operation. Today's Java technology is very mature, because we can use Java to implement some functions that Html cannot implement. By inserting Java modules, we can embed Java-developed modules into web pages to implement Java technology.

This example is implemented using Java. However, due to network security issues, many browsers will disable these Java programs. Therefore, when previewing the effect of this example, the content may not be displayed, and a prompt message may pop up. However, at this time, as long as Just allow it in the prompt; if it still cannot be displayed, you need to install the compressed package file attached to the corresponding instance of the source file.
