During this time when I entered the SEO industry, I came into contact with many websites. I often see the rankings of some websites rise and fall. SEOER's emotions are ups and downs, and I am filled with emotions. In recent days, Baidu has not updated its rankings on a large scale for a long time, and I was once confused and at a loss. On the left, customers are fixated on rankings, and on the right, Baidu is "stubborn" in not updating. One can imagine the dilemma.
Today, when Baidu is so elusive, how to do SEO? In fact, it is nothing more than the structure, content, external links, etc. that we usually talk about. It is true that many of us can also talk about a lot of SEO theories around structure, content, external links, etc. But in fact, knowing does not necessarily mean knowing how to use it, and knowing how to use it does not necessarily mean applying it well, so not everyone is a master (including myself).
Chang Ai said that he would not play with Baidu on technology, but only talk about feelings with Baidu. Maybe it’s because I didn’t come from a pure SEO background, so I always like to look for things other than SEO technology. I always stubbornly believe that pure technology is like a mummy, without blood, flesh and emotions, and it looks too shriveled. So, as a rule, I like to put things on my website that will impress my users. Or a website structure that makes users feel comfortable, or website content that resonates with users. Sometimes I find that it is very happy to be recognized by users. As soon as I feel good, my ranking will miraculously rise.
I remember someone said that SEO is like a "war" without smoke. Yes, I prefer to describe it this way. The "war" between us and Baidu involves both hatred and love, and we are both enemies and friends. In this way, we depend on each other and fight endlessly. How to win this battle? The ancients said that if you know the enemy, you can fight a hundred battles without danger. I said that if you know Baidu, understand the users and understand yourself, you will be ranked.
Know Baidu. Baidu has been changing, but content and external links have never changed. You may know more about how to create content and external links than I do, so I won’t go into details here. The key is how do we continue to adapt to Baidu's "watery" personality and get new rules for content and external links? I think we need to learn, discuss, share and summarize. Join a group of people with an open mind and get the answers you might get.
Understand users. Certain rules of Baidu are increasingly helping to improve user experience, and everyone has been improving user experience. User experience is a subjective feeling of the user himself. How do we improve user experience? This requires us to understand users, understand users, know what users like and need, in order to satisfy users and improve user experience.
Know yourself. As the saying goes, "Those who are in authority are obsessed with it, but those who see it clearly", so there are very few people who can truly see themselves (here specifically their own website). Therefore, we must adopt an open-minded attitude to collect, accept, review and improve the good and bad opinions put forward by others on our website. It’s a good thing to have people who can give us advice. If they can, we can change them, and if they don’t, we can encourage them. Only by knowing yourself can you strengthen your website.
From simplicity to simplicity, the core theory of SEO is very simple. Good things always require us to continue to practice and understand. Use 12 words: know Baidu, understand users, understand yourself, get rankings, to analyze my humble opinion on SEO. If something is wrong, I hope my colleagues in the industry will bear with me and criticize me.
