Property Inspector and Text Formatting
Use the Text Property Inspector to format the currently selected text. When you format text using the Property inspector, Dreamweaver keeps track of the formatting properties you specify for each text element and assigns each element a label using the naming convention: Style1, Style2, Style3, Stylen. If you specify the same formatting properties for two or more text elements, Dreamweaver tags these elements with the same title, reducing unnecessary style names. Tags that Dreamweaver applies to a given body of text can later be applied using the Styles pop-up menu, allowing you to generate a library of styles within the page and then simply select the text element in the page, from the Styles pop-up These same styles can be applied by selecting a style from the Style menu. You can rename these styles with more meaningful labels, such as Heading1, Heading2, Body, and TableBody.
The Styles pop-up menu displays both the name of the style on the page and a preview of the style's properties. The properties shown in the preview are font (font-family), font size, font weight, text color, and background color.
