The original picture of this tutorial is already very beautiful. In order to highlight the non-mainstream tones, the main colors of yellow and blue in the original picture were specially changed into purple and cyan during production, which reflects the fashion and personality of the character. You can also try to adjust it to other colors.
1. Open the original image and press Ctrl + J to copy a layer, execute the menu: Filter > Noise > Dust and Scratches, confirm and execute the menu: Filter > Blur > Set the blur value to 8, and then mix the layer Change the mode to "Overlay" and the layer opacity to: 50%
2. Create a new layer and set the foreground color to: #FF57B1. Use the brush tool to paint the character's hair purple. After painting, change the layer blending mode to "Color Burn" and the layer opacity to: 20%
3. Create a new layer, set the foreground color to: #FEFBDF, and set the background color to: #D50D96. Execute the menu: Filter > Render > Clouds. After confirmation, press Ctrl + Alt + F to enhance the effect as shown in Figure 5. Change the layer blending mode to "Soft Light" and the layer opacity to: 40%
4. Create a new layer and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer. Then change the layer blending mode to "Multiply" and the layer opacity to: 60%. Add a mask to cover the character's face. Wipe it out
5. Create a new layer and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer. Press Ctrl + U to adjust the hue/saturation. After confirmation, press Ctrl + J to copy a layer. Click on the channel panel and click on the green channel and press Ctrl + A Select all and press Ctrl + C to copy, click on the blue channel and press Ctrl + V to paste back to the layer version, change the layer blending mode to "Multiply", and change the layer opacity to: 40%
6. Create a new layer with fill color: #FEFBDF, and then change the layer blending mode to "Multiply"
7. Merge all layers and use the Topaz filter to sharpen it. If you haven’t installed it yet, please click here to download it.
