I have been doing SEO for several years and have optimized 20 or 30 websites. Through continuous learning and summary, I have gradually gained my own opinions. Usually, there are still many friends who are overly entangled with some common problems in forums and post bars. Today, based on some of my own thoughts and experiences, I will write down a few places that I think are unnecessary to struggle with. Of course, my summary is more suitable for indexes within 1,000. For some large and medium-sized websites or words with a slightly higher index, it is fundamental to implement a good SEO strategy.
First, don’t worry too much about the URL structure.
URL standardization and uniqueization are the words we hear most often. They are indeed very important in website optimization and can effectively accumulate URL weight. We often see problems similar to URL structure in forums. Sometimes we even struggle to find them for a week. Without a perfect answer, let alone anything else, 301 redirects alone have stumped a number of webmasters. Due to different programs, different hosts, and different languages, 301 redirects are written in different ways. In addition, there are also Including some issues such as URL staticization, pseudo-static, etc. In fact, there is no need to worry too much about words with an index of less than 1,000. The author has also optimized twenty or thirty sites, all using dynamic paths, but most of the path parameters only have one , very concise, so the ranking and inclusion are also very solid and stable all year round, so you don’t have to worry too much about the URL. Of course, if it can be done in a short time, try to use a static URL.
My Taobao blogs generally have words with an index of less than 1,000, so I don’t put much effort into optimizing the URLs and use dynamic paths. Because pseudo-static and pure static require dual support from the program and the server, I didn't pay much attention to it and just kept using dynamic URLs. At present, everything is good. Just like the previous N websites, the ranking will naturally rise slowly.
Second, don’t worry too much about the website structure.
Being flat enough, flat enough, and clear enough is a structure that many websites are pursuing, because a flat structure is more in line with the crawling rules of search engines. However, due to the design of some open source programs (CMS) themselves, the design of Internet companies, finding people to develop inherent designs, etc., some website structures are destined to not be too simple, but the problem is that we do not have enough time and technology to change Therefore, some friends are too entangled in this matter. They think that a slightly complicated website is of no benefit at all and that it is not conducive to crawling at all. They try every means to simplify it. As a result, they waste a few weeks or even more time. Totally done. In fact, this is completely unnecessary. First of all, making the program complicated may prepare for future expansion, or it may be for the sake of safety. It is not a bad thing in itself. However, for some words with low index, it is relatively easy to optimize. If you spend too much time, If you spend a lot of time just worrying about the website structure, then the time cost is obviously a bit high.
I use an emlog blog, so the navigation remains in its original state and is simple enough. Maybe for words with a relatively low index, this "not paying attention" is just an advantage. But sometimes the structure of a website is not just navigation. The most important thing is channels and columns, but the principles are similar.
Third, don’t worry too much about domain name age
Using old domain names to build websites is a common practice for many webmasters. After all, domain name age is an important factor in optimization. Old domain names have high weight, are included quickly, have backlinks, and have PR, which are all manifestations of their advantages. In addition, search engines There is generally an inspection period for new websites, so many novices have the impression that it is best to buy an old domain name when building a website. Indeed, the old domain name has many favorable factors, but it does not mean that there are no disadvantages, such as being punished, being an illegal site, black hat SEO, being a website group, etc. In addition, sacrificing the current brand for the old domain name is not a good thing. Now Website branding is becoming more and more important. It is very dangerous to rely 100% on search engines, so the domain name is an important part. Old domain names and new brands will generally conflict, so there is no need to worry about the age of the domain name. Remember that optimization is only a means, and brand is the goal. Don’t put the cart before the horse. Having said that, if you plan to do it for a while and then let it go and pursue short-term profits, then the first thing is to stick to the old domain name, no doubt.
This is the domain name whois time. It has not been registered for a long time and is not an old domain name, but its ranking ability is not too bad. Now there is traffic from search engines every day. So you don’t have to worry too much about domain name age. My blog is an example.
Fourth, don’t worry too much about friendship connections.
Friendly links have always accounted for a large proportion in optimizing websites. Whether you are optimizing websites for others or your own company's website, whether you are a novice or a veteran, you attach great importance to friendly links. It has become a habitual action for optimizing websites, and I also attach great importance to it. Friendly links, suitable friendly links can not only increase the weight of the website, but also increase traffic appropriately. However, many novice webmasters are obsessed with building friendly links all day long, and even ignore the content. In fact, there is no need to be too obsessed with friendly links for some words with low indexes. When building your own website, including observing many websites, it will still be the same without friendly links. Well done, so friendly links are important, but not the only one. I think it is very good to change a few friendly links appropriately, but just wanting to achieve ranking through friendly links and being too entangled in friendly links all day long is obviously a misunderstanding of friendly links.
This is the friendly link of my blog. For a long time, I have not taken the initiative to create friendly links, but it does not affect the inclusion and ranking of search engines, so grasping the core things is the king. This is my optimization experience.
Optimization is not static. Books and previous experience are not suitable for all websites and all situations. You have to continue to explore and summarize the situation of your own website. Therefore, there is no need to worry too much about the details for some words with small indexes. The real core thing is to serve users and provide good content. I remember that there is also such a discussion in the "Google Optimization Bible". Every day, add a web page that is truly valuable to users. The web pages should be as diverse as possible, including pictures and videos. After one year, the website will reach a certain height. From my own experience, this is indeed the case. If you make good content and make some highly relevant external links, the website will develop in the ideal direction. That’s it for this article.
