Nowadays, various text effects with fragmented textures can be seen in many graphic designs. How are they specifically made? Today we introduce spider9935’s method. The principle of this method is very simple. The main step is to define the patterns of fragmented textures, then spread these patterns on the text, and then delete the intersection between the texture and the text. Mainly using techniques such as pattern definition and pattern filling in photoshop.
final effect
1. Open a picture to use as background. Use the text tool to enter some text, adjust the size of the text, right-click the text layer, and select "Pixelize Layer" in the pop-up menu.
Create a new layer and turn off the eye icons in front of other layers so as not to hinder drawing on the new layer. Use the pencil tool in the toolbar and set the stroke thickness to "1 icon" in its options bar. "Plain" and the color is black. Draw random mesh lines on the screen, and then use the rectangular marquee to select the area as shown. After that, select Edit > Define Pattern in the menu, specify a name and confirm.
3. Select layer 1 with the mouse, select Edit > Fill in the menu, select the pattern mode in the dialog box, and select the pattern just defined in the definition. After confirmation, the pattern will be applied to the image. Then select the text layer, hold down the Ctrl key and click on layer 1 to select the network cable. Then press the Delete key to delete the network cable text. Deselect after execution. Finally, close the eye before the layer, and you can see the fragmented effect of the text.
