"Monster Hunter World" Tachi Quick Start Tutorial
Tachi has several core mechanisms, which can be summed up in four words: Kirito (cat). But before that, we need to understand the cutting mechanism first.
1. Sharpening (Gymnastics)
Blade sharpening requires the consumption of sword energy. Sword energy can be obtained from any tachi attack other than air blade slashing. The action of sharpening the edge is commonly known as "gymnastics". Under normal circumstances, it takes four air blade cuts to open the edge, but it only takes three air blade cuts after a vertical cut to open the edge. The tachi can be opened three times, namely: white, yellow, and red.
Blade's damage multiplier increases and its duration decreases. A qualified Taitoman needs to ensure that he can quickly open the red blade in order to perform high output.
2. Jianqie (seeing through cuts)
Kanpukiri is the core mechanism of Tachi. Its main function is to avoid damage and sharpen the blade quickly. It cannot be triggered directly. It requires a pre-attack move to use Kankiri. The principle is to predict the monster's attack and dodge it perfectly.
Use the direction keys to quickly adjust your body orientation. Mikiri will clear the sword energy and give the character a short-term invincibility frame. If the sword energy is too little or there is no sword energy, the character will just retreat and slash forward without the invincibility frame. After avoiding damage and hitting the target, the sword energy will be restored to full, and then the air blade will spin. Can be sharpened quickly
3. (big/small) Iai
They are Iai's Air Blade Slash and Iai's Draw Slash. Just like Mikiri, you need a pre-attack move before you can use Iai's sword.
After Koiai hits the target, he will automatically recover his sword energy for a period of time.
The bottom is dark red and the sword energy flashes white from time to time to indicate the automatic recovery state.
There is an ultra-short invincibility frame when used; Daiiai also has an invincible frame when used with an air blade. Under normal circumstances, using it will consume a layer of air blades. If Daiiai is used to perfectly avoid monster damage, the air blade will not be consumed.
However, the judgment of Oiai's dodge is more stringent than that of Mitakiri.
4. Denglong (air blade thrust)
Climbing the Dragon is the most damaging output move of Tai Sword (the shrimp head). It can be triggered directly. When there is no blade, there is only a thrust. After the blade is opened, there is the Climbing Dragon action.
After Denglong hits, there will also be a period of time when the sword energy will be automatically restored. It is recommended to use it when the red blade and monsters are immobile.
5. Miscellaneous items (Only when the shrimp head is too sharp can you become a cat)
1. When the sword is sheathed, it can only use straight slash and air blade slash as its starting attack moves; using straight slash while standing will only make a sword-drawing action, while using it while moving will slash downward in the direction of movement.
2. Thrust is the fastest attack move of Tai Sword. It is usually used as the best prelude action for cutting and closing. It can also be used in combination with straight cutting (upward pick) to find opportunities for cutting.
3. The air blade rotation in the last stage of gymnastic opening can connect the knife with the knife and cancel the knife closing action.
4. If you can't control your body position when doing gymnastics, you can keep the target on the left side of the character, because the judgment range on the left side of the last stage of the air blade rotation is larger.
The main skill of Tai Sword is to show off one's tricks at first sight. As long as you train more, you can become a Tai Sword Master just around the corner.
