People who do SEO often take the role of SEO very seriously because they do SEO themselves, and inevitably ignore the user experience. In the past, when many of my lay friends gave me suggestions for my website, they would ask me to improve the interface of the website, enrich the valuable content or information, etc. - seoer felt that this was a very simple thing, so many times I did not I am willing to do it, but I don’t think it is necessary. I think it will be ok if the keyword ranking is improved. If it is an SEO project that takes orders and its goal is to rank, that's okay. But if it is your own site and you have to rely on them to attract visitors or even make money, then the distance between the ranking and the following two goals is very big. A bit far!
Personal experience believes that the user experience of the website and SEO are not completely independent, but require different focus at different time periods.
First of all, in the early stages of website construction, SEO work can temporarily give way to a certain basic website content construction - once a website with no content or valuable information is promoted, it will not bring revisits, but taboos next time. Even if you rank first, people who have visited before will intentionally avoid your site. One of my sites suffered a loss because of this.
Secondly, after the website itself has certain content, SEO can be regarded as the focus. These tasks mainly include keyword strategy (selection and internal page embedding) and search engine login in the early stage of SEO. But it doesn’t mean that you don’t need to update the content of the website during this time. Remember, content updates are always uninterrupted, and original ones are better.
Once again, SEO external links are continuously updated. While doing a good job in updating content, improving website sections, columns and interfaces and other user experience work, we also exchange friendly links and publish external links. This is a crucial link for ranking, so you must pay attention to it!
The last thing is a balance between user experience and SEO work. Generally speaking, except for keywords with very fierce competition, once the ranking is achieved, SEO work can be relatively light, and user experience needs to be paid more attention to - this is especially true for forums. Seven or eight of my websites are all forums, and I have a deep understanding of this. Even if the ranking is always at the top, if the user does not have what he wants, he will not come next time. Of course, if the ranking competition for some keywords is fierce, you still need to spend a little more time to rank well.
