When taking the subway using WeChat, you need to select a station. When using WeChat's ride code function to purchase subway tickets, users need to select the subway line and station they want to take, as well as the number of tickets to purchase.
1. Open WeChat and locate the ride code function
- Open the WeChat app and click "Me" on the bottom menu bar.
- After entering the "Me" page, find and click the "Card Pack" option.
- In the card package page, select and click the "Transportation Card" option.
2. Enter the ride code page

- If the ride code service has not been activated yet, follow the instructions on the page to activate it.
3. Select subway lines and stations
- On the ride code page, select the subway line you want to take.
- Click to select a specific site and enter the number of tickets to be purchased.
4. Complete payment and generate ride code
- Make payment after confirming that the selected route, station and ticket quantity are correct.
- After successful payment, a ride code will be generated.
5. Use the bus code to take the subway
- Go to the subway station and point the generated bus code at the code scanning port in front of the gate.
- After the gate is successfully recognized, you can enter the station and take the train.
Things to note
- Media consistency: The boarding code swiped when taking the subway in and out of the turnstile for a one-way ride must be consistent (i.e. the boarding code for the same application channel and the same account).
- Payment mode: The ride code is used in the subway, using the product model of "ride first, pay later". The fare is usually automatically deducted from the wallet or bank card bound to the user when activating the code 2 hours after the code is swiped.
Through the above steps, you can use WeChat to conveniently purchase subway tickets and take the subway.
