The Elder Scrolls OL server selection recommendation. Many players who have just entered this game may not know which server is better to play on. Here is a detailed introduction for your reference.
Server selection recommendations
First is the general environment:
The total number of people in the European server is large, but there are few Chinese people; the total number of people in the American server is small, but there are many Chinese people.
PVP: Europeans and Americans have guilds in PVP, and the number and number of guilds is higher in the American server (in fact, no matter what country you are, there are basically more people in the American server), so many people will go to the American server to play PVP, but PVP and PVE are different. The same, it doesn’t matter how many people there are. Players can experience the fun of PVP whether playing solo, in a small group, or in a large group. Of course, it will be easier for newbies to join a large group, but they will realize the delay difference later on. I I am located in Guangdong, which is quite south of China, but the delay difference between the European and American servers is almost 80ms. It is normal for the European server to be below 200, and it is lucky to be below 280 for the American server.
In terms of casual RP, some people may be curious why I recommend the European server for leisure, but I open a casual guild in the American server. Because there were very few casual RPG guilds in the US server before, many newcomers started to get involved meaninglessly as soon as they joined the group, especially pile driving. In fact, it was enough to reach the passing line. From personal experience, no matter how good you are at playing, it is better to practice more in actual combat. So I thought about opening a casual guild on the US server to give players who don't want to be too tired and have no interest in endgame a place to rest. As for the European server, there are a lot of casual RP players, and the latency is low, so I recommend that casual players go to the European server.
PVE: There are many Chinese people in the American server who specialize in PVE trials, and most of them have achieved pretty good results. Compared with the Chinese guilds in the European server, it is difficult to form an all-Chinese team due to the number of people. They often need foreigners to join in order to start a team. Speaking of which, for the four-man team, also because of the number of people, the four-man team in the US server is much easier than the European server. It takes a long time to form a stable four-man team in the European server. If you are proficient in foreign languages, you can choose to join the foreigner group. As for the language problem that many people used to talk about in the European server, in fact, everyone in the foreigner trial group in the European server all speaks English. Some of my Russian friends talk to each other. He spoke Russian when communicating, but he spoke English when talking to me, so communication was not difficult. US servers are basically all in English, and occasionally you can see Japanese.
