The 2024 National Cyber Security Publicity Week will be carried out nationwide from September 9 to 15, with the opening ceremony and other important activities held in Guangzhou. One of the series of activities of the 2024 National Cyber Security Publicity Week - the Artificial Intelligence Empowering Digital Security Symposium was recently held at the Nansha International Financial Forum Center.
This symposium brought together government leaders, experts and scholars, industry elites and people from all walks of life to discuss the innovative applications and future development paths of artificial intelligence technology in the field of digital security, and to look forward to the future development direction of digital security. Participants generally believed that only by continuing to deepen cooperation and exchanges and collaboratively promoting technological innovation and talent cultivation can we build an ironclad wall of digital security and provide a solid and powerful guarantee for the vigorous development and prosperity of the digital economy.
In his speech, Yang Liancheng, General Manager of Guangzhou China Unicom, reviewed the company’s practices and achievements in promoting the integration of digital security and artificial intelligence. He mentioned that in the future, China Unicom Guangzhou will comprehensively support the deep integration of the digital economy with advanced manufacturing and modern service industries, promote the safe, reliable and controllable development of artificial intelligence, and protect national security.
Subsequently, a number of experts, scholars and business representatives conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions around the theme of "Artificial Intelligence Empowering Digital Security".
Xie Shengli, a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, president of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence and Automation Society, and professor of the School of Automation of Guangdong University of Technology, said in his speech that so far, there is no relatively mature theory of artificial intelligence, but more models and algorithms. Moreover, the models and algorithms of the first and second generation artificial intelligence have many flaws. Therefore, we must vigorously develop scientific and complete artificial intelligence theory. On this basis, we can develop safe, reliable, credible and scalable artificial intelligence technology.
From the perspective of "I can" and empowerment of artificial intelligence, Lu Wei, Vice Chairman of China Cyberspace Security Association, elaborated on the plastic way to realize "I can" and empowerment. Based on the growth of human brain and intelligence, from the perspective of hardware optimization, Exploring research in many directions such as algorithm improvement, model innovation, data processing, interpretability technology, security design, and formulation of unified standards.
During the interactive session, the guests discussed the application scenarios, technical challenges and future trends of artificial intelligence in the field of digital security. Representatives from network security companies such as NSFOCUS and Anheng Information shared their thoughts and practices on artificial intelligence-enabled data security governance, technological innovation, and capacity building.
In addition, the symposium set up a special awards session to commend individuals and teams with outstanding performance and outstanding achievements in the 2024 cybersecurity attack and defense drills.
