The popular AI character creation tool Hedra grandly launches a new voice cloning function! Downcodes editors take you inside to learn more about this exciting new feature and how it changes the way you create AI characters. By simply recording a small amount of audio, you can easily clone your voice and apply it to any character you create or upload to the Hedra platform. Are you ready to experience unprecedented AI character interaction?
Recently, the popular AI character creation tool Hedra announced an exciting new feature - voice cloning!
Now, users simply record a short snippet of their own voice, which can be cloned, stored and applied to any character you create or upload on the platform. However, this new tool is only available to paying users, with a minimum subscription fee of $10 per month.
One of Hedra's strengths is that it's easy to operate. In comparison with Runway and Kling, Hedra performed well in lip-syncing and produced quite accurate mouth movements.
To experience the Hedra function, first, you need to register and log in to enter the creation page. Here, you'll see three main panels. The first panel is for processing text and voice audio, the second is for character image management, and the last panel is for outputting the synthesized results.
The first step in voice cloning is to click the "New Voice" button to record your own voice. With just three lines of text, the platform can create a fairly accurate voice clone for you. Of course, you can also choose to upload or record an audio script live, or use the platform’s own sounds.
Once the audio processing is complete, the character image can be uploaded or created. A little tip here is to give the image generator a try as it works really well. The base model used by Hedra is StableDiffusion. If you want a more realistic character, you can upgrade to the premium plan and choose the Flux Realism setting. The results are stunning and almost indistinguishable from real faces, and although the video lacks a bit of clarity, the lips and facial movements are excellent.
However, it is recommended not to try using animal characters as the lip sync effect is not satisfactory.
The basic premium plan allows for 20 minutes of video generation per month, with individual videos up to 1 minute, and features watermark-free voice cloning. The price is fair, although it would be even better if the company offered a brief voice cloning feature as part of the free watermark plan.
All in all, Hedra's voice cloning function brings new possibilities to AI character creation. Although it is currently only available to paid users, its convenient operation and high-quality output are undoubtedly worth looking forward to. In the future, whether Hedra can further lower the threshold for use and allow more users to experience this technology will be an important direction for its continued development. Looking forward to more surprises from Hedra!
