Everyone knows that Baidu relies on content and GOOGLE relies on external links. However, recently in major SEO groups, I have heard many people shouting that GOOGLE relies on content and Baidu relies on external links?
Zack gives an example.
This is the website of a client of Zack. I won’t post the URL here. I did a ranking experiment based on different keywords and different search engines. For GOOGLE, we used "Steel Electronic Trading" and "Electronic Trading" as the anchor text and made a large number of high-quality external links. For Baidu, the content of the article was centered around "steel electronic trading" and "steel electronic trading". At the beginning, because these five keywords were not ranked, there were no screenshots at the time.
After a month of persistence, the effect is as shown below.
After persisting for about 2 months, the target keyword ranking is as follows.
According to the results of the above two figures, anyone with a little SEO foundation can find that Baidu and GOOGLE did focus on content and external links respectively at the beginning. However, as time goes by, Baidu will also take the role of external links into consideration. It should be It’s because Baidu has an inspection period for external links. And GOOGLE always pays attention to external links but not much attention to content.
