The ranger in "Diablo 4" can be used in both long-range and melee combat, so how to add points to the melee style? Please take a look at the "Diablo 4" public beta melee ranger addition ideas brought by "D26th" below. Let's take a look.
Strong mobility - including the built-in dodge skills, there are three displacement skills, up to four stages of displacement at a time, and the cooldown is very short when the CD is reduced.
It has wide versatility, it has both AOE and single output, and AOE is relatively early and sufficient.
Because the mechanism is simple, the operation logic is simple, and you don’t have to worry too much about adding points on the skill tree.
elegant.
When the level is low, the equipment is not good, and the armor is low, you cannot stand and output, and you need to adjust your position, which makes some random events (such as pressing on the floor, or walking with NPC) difficult to complete.
A legendary special effect and level 15 specialization are needed to maintain relatively high energy. Otherwise, when facing a single target, the energy is insufficient, and long-range basic attacks or skills (such as continuous fire) need to be adjusted to defeat the boss more easily.
The buttons are large.
The body is fragile and requires some equipment special effects to maintain the output environment.
For basic attack, choose Invigorating Strike to enhance energy recovery. When the level is low, you can also use moving blades/piercing/heart-piercing arrows/powerful arrows to facilitate positioning.
Without considering additional skill points (such as server progress), we need to reach level three in the early stage to have AOE, which is our core skill-Twisting Blade. The effect of this skill is very simple: the monster hit by the skill takes a period of damage. Within 1.5 seconds, the damage you cause to this monster increases. After these 1.5 seconds pass, the knife on the monster automatically flies towards you, regardless of where you are. Which, and cause damage to the monsters on the path (including the one at the beginning). This subsequent damage is the AOE we use when clearing groups of monsters. Just like this. We need to click on strengthening and advancing first, so that the subsequent AOE damage will be increased and our displacement skill CD will be refreshed.
Then there are the two displacement skills-Shadow Step and Dash. Not taking into account additional skill points, at least level eight is required to get started. Let's talk about Shadow Step first, which means appearing directly behind the monster and attacking. You need to select the monster and the CD is 9 seconds. Strengthening Shadow Steps will increase the critical hit chance by 8%, and following Shadow Steps will reduce the CD. Dash is to rush to the position of the mouse pointer and cause damage to the monsters on the path. There is no need to select the monster. It has a CD of 10 seconds and charges twice. What we mainly need is the effect of displacement rather than damage. The damage of these two skills is the icing on the cake. Under the effect of advanced twisting blade, the CD of these two skills is very fast.
Let’s talk about Shadow Infusion. Infusion is to add additional effects to the next two infuseable skills, and using the shadow infusion skill to defeat monsters will give the monster a 6-second debuff. If the monster dies during this debuff, an AOE will explode. If the monster does not die, only you will receive the damage. The reason why I chose Shadow Infusion is that clicking Strengthen and Reconcile will increase the damage a lot, and the Shadow Critical Strike on the side has bonus control, and Devouring Shadow can replenish some energy, so that the Twisting Blade can be used more frequently. I tend to choose Shadow Infusion so that I don't get stuck, but Cold Infusion and Poison Infusion are also possible. Especially the cold infusion can be controlled.
The ultimate trick is to choose the shadow clone, which does 80% more damage. It is very useful especially when fighting world bosses. Counting the two additional skill points, the Intense Shadow Clone allows you to cast the Shadow Clone without control for 5 seconds to increase your survivability, and the Ultimate Shadow Clone increases the damage.
In addition, I also ordered 1 point of Solidity (increased defense), 1 point of Weapon Specialization (increased damage), 1 point of Merit (increased damage), and 2 points of Precision Focus (increased critical hits). This part is just a make-up, I'm not sure it's the optimal solution.
Specialization chooses to see through weaknesses (unlimited energy for 4 seconds) to enhance energy recovery.

The twisting blade circles around you and deals damage as it returns to you. The damage dealt increases with the length of the path back to you (there is a cap). This is the most important special effect. This special effect not only provides extra damage, but this extra damage can trigger specialization. When facing a single BOSS, multiple twisting blades surrounding us can quickly trigger the special effect of seeing through weaknesses. At this time, we can use the twisting blades unlimitedly to produce a large amount of output.
The damage-increasing special effects and this core skill's critical hits will increase the attack speed, and basic skills will gain attack speed. I also created a special effect that will continuously increase damage while standing still. This may also be useful, but I just dropped it and haven’t used it to fight the world boss. There is also a special effect that the higher the energy when releasing the skill, the higher the damage increase, which will definitely be used. After all, the energy is always full when the weakness is triggered.
The defensive special effects include the magic shield, which is very useful when fighting world bosses and provides a good output environment. It would also be nice to have one that gains darkness when standing still. The added armor provided by these pants is also very useful.
The special effect of the twisting blade is the most important, but even if we don't have any special effects, the damage of this set is enough.
Normally, to clear the mobs, you would first twist the blade back, then shadow step or rush forward, waiting for the knife to fly back. If the monster is very hard, twist the blade back and move it back.
The single boss is to close the distance and infuse the twisting blade with shadow. If there is an output environment, use the special effect of seeing through the weakness, cast the clone, and infinite twisting blade. The CD will rotate faster when using Infinite Twisting Blade, so Shadow Infusion must be added frequently. If possible, you can also use Shadow Step to increase damage.
