There are many things that need to be paid attention to in "The Undercurrent of the Fishing Sails". Making good use of certain skills will bring many benefits to players. Please see below the player "Maggot of the Star Sea" to share his practical experience in clearing the game "The Undercurrent of the Fishing Sails". Hope it helps everyone.
Material
There are five basic materials in the game: wooden boards, cloth, iron parts, advanced iron plates, and research parts.
These five types can be refreshed infinitely, so you don’t have to worry about insufficient materials and bad files.
The first three types are infinitely refreshed near Iron Cape.
The high-end iron plate salvage points will be in some relatively hidden places. Those who are anxious to upgrade can directly go to the floating island merchants to buy them unlimitedly.
To sum up, the rarest materials are research components, and often the technology points are not enough even if the ship is fully upgraded. The research components provided by various tasks and fixed salvage points are fixed, and the rest are generated by the probability of refreshing by floating island merchants and the probability of salvaging other parts. If you want to brush it, use SL several times.
Last but not least, after reaching the full level, the materials will be useless. You can just go to the floating island merchant's ship repair office to sell them for money.
Upgrade route
(Add some ideas that I feel most comfortable with. It depends on the actual situation. There is no need to force it.)
There are four types of technology points: engine, fishing rod, net, and cage.
In terms of engines, small single-cell engines are the most cost-effective, and their single-cell speed is second only to the final six-cell large engine. They can also prevent the entire engine from being scrapped due to bad cells.
In terms of fishing rods, I personally recommend ordering a pelagic axis first. The sharks caught in the ocean in the early stage will be much more expensive. In the mid-term, when you get to the main line of Stellar Bay, save at least four research materials, and directly fill up the deep-sea technology provided by the main line. The main lines of mangrove and volcano fishing rods are a must, but the multi-function and six-frame ultimate fishing rods are not cost-effective, so there is no need to rush to order them.
In terms of fishing nets, you need to point out at least one, which is a must-have for the main mission of Stellar Bay. The last ocean fishing net involves collecting all illustrated books, and the rest doesn't matter.
Crab pot technology can be clicked or temporarily ignored. A certain side mission will give you the best crab pot in the game.
Stone tablet and man in cloth robe
The two most important types of side quests in the game.
The stele requires the presentation of the correct type and quantity of fish, and upon success will grant a unique fishing gear.
The Man in Cloak quest requires an offering of the correct type of fish. Note that the mission of the Man in Cloak is time-limited. The time starts from the start of the conversation. If you do not eat fish for too long, you will starve to death and permanently lose the mission reward. After discovering the cloth-robed man, you can explore first and learn about the nearby fish species before talking to him and accepting the quest. Compared with the stone tablets, the rewards for the Man in Cloak mission are not very high, but when it comes to achievements, it doesn’t matter if you don’t collect them all and players with obsessive-compulsive disorder give up.
explore
Almost every island will have details. There will be material or cultural relic salvage points nearby, temporary ports, stone tablets or cloth-robed apostles, ready-made sunken treasures, etc. If possible, don’t miss any island, don’t ignore any corner, just go around the island and see it again.
Abilities (may contain minor spoilers)
Most abilities have corresponding achievements (seems like all of them?)
The light will anger some hostile beings, depending on the situation.
Use a telescope to directly locate and catch some fish species. Collecting them all is very useful. If you see a question mark fish, just go there and catch it.
There is no need to explain the trawl and crab pots, just don’t forget to open them and put them down.
Acceleration and TP display are very practical, pay attention to cooling and CD.
Spreading bait will generate a temporary fishing spot with a random mix of fish species in the current sea area, which subjectively increases the probability of trophy fish.
The fish fished by withering will deteriorate, but the probability of mutated fish is very high, so it is great to use it with fish bait to open a picture book.
Dispel literally means that after use, it will reduce a lot of sanity and have a long CD. You can place one when you have low sanity and need it.
Trumpet, the most useless skill, seems to be able to drive away crows?
plot
To understand the game plot, you need to complete various tasks, collect drift bottles and record stone tablets. The plot party must carefully explore the path.
The recording stone will only appear when you are low in sanity (at least with red eyes), and it records some plot content. There are no record stone tablets but there are all collection achievements for drifting bottles.
There is no need to worry about changing the ending. The final ending does not retain save files and will not affect each other, so just choose with confidence.
some miscellaneous
If you accidentally get a key person or key prop into the water, SL will be the answer. If you forcefully exit the game and re-enter, you will be returned to the state of entering the port to avoid stupid operations such as selling mission fish in the port.
The snake mackerel is on the upper right, and the nearest fishing point is near the small island on the upper right (one starved to death in the first stall)
Remember to prepare more explosives before going to Devil's Spine, they will be used later.
For the final pelagic fish illustration, go to the edge of the map and look for it.
Some unique props and mission props can be sold! Be sure not to be too reckless when trading.
Keeping the dog is useless, keeping the ring is useless, but the mark is of some use.
Heart has no other bonuses.
(please correct me if I'm wrong)
SL can only refresh points that can be obtained repeatedly.
The price of the fish will be recorded only if it is sold, and the highest price will be recorded regardless of the status of the fish. Certain fish can only be caught once, and if you don't sell them, the price in the illustrated book will be permanently lost. In contrast, trophy fish are recorded as soon as they are caught and do not need to be sold.
The infection status will be contagious and reduce the price, but the advantage is that it will be kept fresh forever and all kinds of tasks will not be affected at all. Using the 'contagion' method, live fish can be kept fresh forever in the warehouse without worrying about rotting.
If the jellyfish is exploded, it will become infected. If the spores are exploded, it will rot. Pay attention to the difference.
You can not move, and time will not move, but hostile entities will move.
White Tornado destroys ships, but can also get fish.
