Using WordPress for a Win host is troublesome. One is replying to comments and emails, and the other is staticizing the URL. I have never found a good solution before. With the recent outbreak of RP, all these minor problems have been solved. Let me talk about my implementation method below, and give some help to friends who are still using domestic win hosts.
1. Comment email reply: Everyone knows that WordPress uses PHP’s mail parameters to send emails, which are all based on the Liunx environment, while the Win host uses SMTP. To solve this problem, we need to install a small plug-in. I choose The one is WP-Mail-SMTP. After testing, only version 0.7 can send emails. If you have installed the latest version 0.82 and cannot send emails, you may wish to downgrade to version 0.7. If you need to reply to a comment email, you might as well try Mail To Commenter. With a slight modification based on your theme, you can perfectly solve the problem of email reply!
2. Website staticization: There are many plug-ins for staticizing Win hosts, but I haven’t found a perfect solution yet. I used a plug-in-free method. I downloaded the 404.php file here. After uploading the website root directory, I specified the 404.php file in the error settings of the space control panel. Then I went to the WordPress backend to change the permanent link, my permanent link. is "/archives/%post_id%.html" (without quotes).
Haha, isn’t it very simple?
