Regarding the newly released IE8Beta1, netizens have downloaded and used it one after another and tasted the benefits of its powerful functions; some false news has been circulated on the Internet: after installation, it will overwrite the original IE7 and cannot import IE7 favorites. This makes everyone (especially work computers) afraid to try this new version of the browser.
In fact, IE8 supports "coexistence" with IE7, and there are two methods. And can import IE7 favorites.
The author is a programmer, and sometimes also works on the CSS structure of the page. Therefore, IE6, IE7, and FF are necessary testing web page tools that are compatible with mainstream browsers. Microsoft's new IE8 will definitely become a mainstream browser in the future, and website designers will also have to start working hard on it. But I heard that if I want to install it, I can only choose one of IE7 or IE8. Do I really have to give up compatibility with one version? The answer is no.
After the author's extensive use and research on IE8, I found that IE8 and IE7 can indeed coexist.
Coexistence 1: IE8 originally comes with IE7 in the kernel. This is for software developers to use. It is called "IE7 emulator"
In IE8 state, if you want to change it to IE7, press the "7Emulate IE7" button on the status bar, confirm, then exit the browser, reopen it, and find that it is now IE7.
In IE7 state, if you want to change back to IE8, click the "7Emulate IE7" button, confirm, restore the pop-up shape, then exit the browser, reopen it, and find that it is now IE8.
This method of use is more troublesome because it has to be closed and reopened, and IE7 and IE8 cannot be used at the same time. The author did not give up, and continued to explore other methods, and finally managed to see the moonlight after the clouds cleared. Found a way to use IE7, IE7 at the same time.
Coexistence 2: This method is also a thread for everyone. I hope to find more methods. First of all, IE7 must be installed on this machine. I then installed a Green Browser, such as Aoyou, Nanfang, etc., because the core of the Green Browser will change with the core of the computer's browser. Now install IE8 again to see if it will become the core of IE8.
As mentioned above, IE8 contains the "core" of IE7. Unexpectedly, the core of Green Browser has always been IE7 and has not changed to IE8. This makes me very happy.
So you can use both versions at the same time.
For both methods, after installing IE8 and running it for the first time, you will be prompted to set your personal preferences. Select the previous IE7 settings to import your favorites.
Some new features of IE8: you can easily view and debug Html source code, CSS language and Script; although many debugging tools have been introduced in 52CSS.com, this tool is very useful. The Adds-on plug-in management under the Tools tool is also useful, and can be used to turn off some plug-ins; Activities integrates mail by default using Windows Live Mail, blogging using Windows Live Spaces, translation using Windows Live, and maps using Windows Live Map. In this way, IE8 is fully integrated with Windows Live services.
