Summary: In the latest test server patch 21846, several new tasks have been officially added, answering many players’ questions: including how Dalaran moved to the sky above the Broken Islands and why it is necessary to find the Pillars of Creation. Beware of spoilers!
During this mission, Khadgar decided to open the gates of Dalaran to the Horde's mages to jointly resist the Burning Legion. Jaina objected and ran away.
Players need to travel to Dalaran and attend a meeting held by the Council of Six:
Speak with the Kirin Tor emissary in Orgrimmar;
Talk to Archmage Khadgar of Dalaran;
Follow Archmage Khadgar to the Violet Fortress;
Listen to the conversation in the Council of Six.
During this mission, Brann Bronzebeard discovered that his brother Magni Bronzebeard had awakened and traveled to Ulduar.
Players need to travel to Ulduar with Brann and Khadgar and speak with Magni Bronzebeard.
After repelling the minions of the ancient god, the group finally met Magni. He said he had spoken to Azeroth - a Titan herself.
Players will learn about the Pillars of Creation from Magni:
"After defeating the Old Gods, the Guardians were tasked with restoring order to the world. The Titans gave them five powerful artifacts... namely the Pillars of Creation! After the task was completed, the Guardians would create The Pillar of the World was sealed, but like other relics, these artifacts eventually fell into the hands of mortals."
Next, players will go to Karazhan with Khadgar and obtain the tome about the Pillars of Creation from Medivh's library. At this moment, Khadgar's magical protection fails, and you must repel the Burning Legion's attack. Sargeras already knows that you are pursuing the Pillars of Creation.
And when players return to Dalaran, you will find that it is under attack.
Summon First Guardian Alodi to learn more about the Pillars of Creation.
Task: Author! Author!
"We found books about the Pillars of Creation in Karazhan and found important clues. However, the page containing the most critical information is missing...the record of how to find these artifacts. Fortunately, we still have an expert. The author of the books, Alodi, was the first Keeper of Tirisfal. His soul is now safely within our reach and it is time for him to reveal himself."
In the end, the Council decided to move Dalaran to the sky above the Broken Isles, hoping to find scattered Pillars of Creation in each area.
Because the coordinates of the Broken Islands were not shown on the previous world map, novice players would always ask how to get to the Broken Islands. Even experienced players who had been there only knew that it was southeast of the Maelstrom. However, after today's "World of Warcraft" 7.0 test server update patch, the new level 110 map "Broken Islands" finally appeared on the world map. Players who have not been there can check it out!
