As one of the earliest animations to attract attention in mainland China, Dragon Ball has a high popularity in the country. I still remember buying a set of Dragon Ball comics in a bookstore when I was in elementary school. The story was about Goku fighting the red army and the world's best martial arts competition. The plot in it made me want to stop reading.
