According to the official Warcraft Chronicles, the history of the "Blackrock Abyss" instance can be traced back to the War of Three Hammers. In dwarf society, three powerful tribes emerged. One of them is the Dark Iron tribe led by the mage prince Thaurissan. The three tribes maintained a shaky peace for a while, but the death of Mountain King Modimus Anvilmar upset the balance, and the three tribes began a protracted civil war for control of Ironforge. In order to win, Thaurissan and the Dark Iron Dwarves began to summon powerful supernatural creatures, and ended up summoning Ragnaros, the ancient elemental king of fire demons. Ragnaros' rebirth caused a roaring volcano to rise from the ground, forming what is now Blackrock Mountain. Most of the surviving Dark Iron tribes were enslaved by Ragnaros and his elemental creatures. To this day, they are still left at the bottom of the Blackstone Tower, and are gradually building an underground city - Shadowforge City.
From the markings on the map, it can be clearly seen that the copy of "Blackstone Abyss" is a huge dwarf city. The name "Dark Iron City" is enough to prove that its status is almost the same as Ironforge. The entire dungeon seems to be integrated, but in fact it is divided into two parts and two floors, divided into east and west areas by exquisite secret door mechanisms, which are not connected to each other. The two floors are the upper floor which is basically the living area, the lower floor which is mostly the barracks and work area, and the southeast corner is the prison area.
The copy of "Blackrock Abyss" is located underground in Blackrock Mountain. Let's start with the entrance to Blackrock Mountain. There are two entrances, one is from the Searing Gorge and the other is from the Burning Plains. There are two ways to enter the dungeon. Enter Blackstone Mountain, follow the iron chain on the left/front and walk toward the center of Blackstone Mountain. Spiral down to the ground closest to the volcanic lava. You will see an elf in front of you. It is the portal for the MC raid. Enter the small door on the other side, which leads to the Blackstone Abyss.
Pass through the stone grinding field and arrive at the entrance to the Blackrock Abyss instance. When you first enter the dungeon, the fence door on the left is closed and requires a hidden furnace key/thief to open it, so you have to go straight. The maze actually starts here. The bottom floor of this ring is dotted with prisons, arenas, mines and other buildings. Those going to the arena can go straight from here.
The confinement room area on the right is set up in a ring. No. 5 is the location of the interrogator Gerstarn. You need to kill her to get the key to the prison cell. Then open the cells No. 2, 3, and 4, which are related to the Rescue Princess series. Tasks, Alliance Black Dragon Gate tasks related.
Coming to the area of Order 6 Arena, it is actually set up in a circle. The outer ring is a cell. Students who have done the Alliance Black Dragon Gate mission know that the enemies of Marshal Windsor are imprisoned here. and friends. In the middle room of the inner ring, there is a dog trainer Grebmar with his pets. No. 1 Lokall is a fire element boss who is responsible for patrolling the outer areas of the cell. Near it is the entrance to the Arena of Order. Walk to the middle of the arena, trigger the announcer, and start rounds of challenges. Many people swipe the purple mail clothes - Savage Gladiator Chain Armor. There is a second floor above the arena, which is the audience stand. After the challenge is completed, a side door leading to the East District Barracks will open on one side, and you can go up to the East District Barracks.
Go back to the locked fence door on the left side of the dungeon entrance. If you have a hidden furnace key or a thief with sufficient lockpicking skills to open this door, the direction to the left is to the Black Iron Avenue, and to the west is No. 11 Belga (Lava Giant). Here A black iron avenue leads directly to No. 10 Isendios (black iron felt). Note that if you kill Belga, the gate on this road will be automatically locked, so you can only take a detour from the East Area Barracks.
If you want to enter the East District Barracks, you also need to open a door (hidden furnace key/unlock). After entering, don't rush up the stairs. Send someone with the key or a thief to activate the switch of the hidden furnace lock. This switch controls the small iron gate from the East District Barracks to the West District Barracks.
At this point, we met at the East District Barracks with the people who came from the arena. Continuing up the stairs will lead you to the arena auditorium. If you don't go up the stairs, walk to the left to go to the West District Barracks and Manufacturing Plant.
The troops were divided into two groups, and one group chose to go to the arena auditorium. There was an exit on the opposite side, which led to Thaurissan Temple. That is, the statue where the final task of the Dark Furnace Key quest is located is located, which is 7 in the picture. location (end of road). Go from No. 7 towards the residential area, this is the residential area. After exiting the residential area, the next door is the Black Treasure House. The key to the relic treasure chest that is often dropped in the Blackstone Abyss dungeon opens the treasure house here. There are a total of 12 doors to the relic treasure house.
After leaving the Black Treasure House, find the door next to it which is the Hall of Craftsmanship. Here is the boss that needs to be killed in the Dark Furnace Key quest. The picture below is the rendering of the platform after coming out of the Black Iron Bar, looking towards the opposite side. They are the three doors mentioned above. Both platforms belong to the second floor and are not connected. Exiting the Crafts Hall is the No. 10 black iron felt disk, which returns you to the previously mentioned Black Iron Avenue.
Another group of people chose to enter the Western District Barracks, and the route from now on was basically the same path to the end. Kill General Angefor No. 13, then enter the manufacturing plant and kill the puppet commander Agamanchi No. 14. There is only one way, go straight to the Black Iron Bar. In the warehouse on the second floor of the bar is the prestigious quartermaster of the Thorium Brotherhood. Coming down from the small door behind the bar is where the character in the picture above is standing. There is only one door on this platform, which leads directly to the Hall of Magic. There is only one noble person living in the entire hall - Ambassador Flelas.
Go out from the Magic Hall and continue forward to the casting room, where there are magic craftsmen and puppet monsters. Move forward against the wall and clear the monsters to reach position 18. This is the Tomb of the Summoner, the famous Room of the Seven Sages. The map also shows seven twigs, where the ghosts of the seven sages of the Dark Iron clan live. One of the sages was able to teach the art of smelting black iron. After successfully challenging the Seven Sages, you entered the lecture hall. At the same time, the black furnace for smelting black iron is also below this. On the other side of the Black Forge is the Molten Core Portal mission location, which should be regarded as the main entrance to the Molten Core raid.
Return to the lecture hall, a hall with an obvious magical style. Here you need to kill the special humanoid to drop the torch, ignite the two braziers in the hall, and activate the door of the steel hall. There is a lava giant living in the steel hall. Kill it through the fire mist sprayed by the high-temperature lava, and the door to the Emperor's Seat will open for you.
Emperor Thaurissan and his wife, Princess Moira, are waiting for you at the throne at the end of the hall.
