First of all, I would like to state that I am a newbie and have only recently started making websites. Please correct me if I am wrong. I have been working hard on the Internet for about 4 years. From the first day I came into contact with the Internet, I have a special interest in the Internet and website creation, and I have been working hard to get closer to this aspect. I have always wanted to do a website, but I never thought about what to do, and I have been busy with some things and have no time to do it. I only recently started to deal with a thick-walled steel pipe website.
Okay, let’s get to the point – making traffic!
Traffic is the most basic indicator to evaluate the quality of a website. When the traffic is large, there is capital to make money. But what I want to say is that for non-comprehensive websites, traffic requires useful traffic and stable traffic! What is useful traffic? What is stable traffic? Answer them one by one below:
1. Useful traffic
Because it is a non-comprehensive website, our website audiences are all highly professional (or interested in a certain aspect) groups, so what we need is traffic from this group of people. Traffic from this type of people is useful traffic! For example, my website is a communication community for photography enthusiasts, so what I need is traffic from this type of photography enthusiasts, not irrelevant people who are interested in photography. People who are not interested and are only interested in basketball. Even if such people who are only interested in basketball visit my website, it will not bring much benefit to the website. Instead, it will increase the load on the server and affect the browsing experience of the group we originally need (photography enthusiasts). Because they are not interested in photography, they often leave immediately after inadvertently breaking into the website and never come to this site again. This is what I am going to call "stable traffic"!
2. Stable flow
A successful website's traffic tends to grow steadily. Instead of your traffic suddenly soaring from 1000IP yesterday to 2000IP today, this kind of traffic is actually very abnormal traffic. Why is it abnormal? Because the 1000 IP that flew here must have been obtained by you using some means. Often these 1000 IP can leave very few (return visits). However, the developing website server cannot withstand this sudden pressure, which destroys the original user experience and makes the original users feel disgusted with the website. The website may fall into a vicious whirlpool and lose more than the gain. Gradually stable traffic is the development path of a website.
Of course, the above is only for small, non-comprehensive websites that are just starting out and do not have their own servers. Large websites backed by strong financial strength should basically not consider the above personal opinions.
