The switch has always been designed to allow players to have fun playing outside or at home. So how should players connect the switch to a TV or monitor at home? Let’s take a look at how to connect the switch to a screen.
Switch needs to use an HDMI interface to connect to the screen. There is an HDMI cable on the Switch host. Just plug it into the HDMI interface of the TV or monitor. After the connection is completed, Switch will automatically output the game screen to the connected monitor or TV screen. After the connection is successful, users can operate the game through the Switch controller, and the game screen will be presented on the big screen. There are two main ways to connect Switch to the screen:
Connect via HDMI cable
1. First prepare an HDMI cable and the screen to be connected, and make sure the screen has an HDMI interface.
2. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the bottom of the Switch host and the other end into the HDMI port of the screen.
3. Turn on the Switch console, and the game screen will be output to the screen.
Connect via Dock
1. Prepare a Switch Dock and connect the Switch host and screen.
2. Insert the Switch host into the bottom of the Switch Dock, and insert the Dock into the HDMI port of the screen.
3. Turn on the Switch console, and the game screen will be output to the screen.
Note: Make sure the HDMI cable and Dock are firmly connected and do not move them randomly. Before making the connection, you need to ensure that the Switch console and screen are turned on. Some monitors may require manual switching to the HDMI input signal, which can be set in the monitor menu.
When using an HDMI cable to connect, you need to ensure that the version number of the HDMI cable matches the resolution and refresh rate of the screen, otherwise incompatibility issues may occur.
