Let me start by saying that this article is a rough summary of my three years of doing forums. It is based on Cross Stitch City, and my experience is absolutely practical. I am writing this article to continue to adhere to the spirit of sharing and encourage everyone; on the other hand, I want to increase the external links of this site. I hope that everyone will not delete the links to this site when reprinting this article, and be kind.
Say whatever comes to mind.
1. Treat soft article reprinting correctly
We often hear people talk about soft articles. In the eyes of many people, no matter how practical an article is, as long as a link to a website is added, it becomes a soft article. When reprinting, be sure to delete the link address in the original author's article. I'm afraid that all the traffic from this site will go to that site. Let’s imagine, I am a cross-stitch forum, right now, am I writing articles about forum operations? Your site may be a webmaster site like A5. What are you worried about when forwarding articles? How many sites are there? I will always care about cross stitch and know how to embroider cross stitch. My website is called Cross Stitch City www.58xiu.cn. It is an industry forum focusing on cross stitch. Don’t worry that the traffic from your website will be injected into my website.
2. GOOGLE advertising click-through rate problem.
I often heard that forums are not suitable for GG. First of all, at what level should GG’s click-through rate be controlled? I can’t say for sure. I just know not to cheat. But a popular saying among webmasters is that the click-through rate should be controlled within 3%. There are very few ads in my forum, and the click-through rate used to be 1.5%. This index should be considered relatively appropriate, so I feel that the forum is not suitable for GG. This statement is incorrect. In addition, when I explain, the website must have traffic. When the traffic is very small, most of the GG advertisements displayed on the website are public service advertisements. When there is a little traffic, although non-public service ads start to display normally, the click-through rate is low at this time, so the conversion rate is also low. Therefore, when building a website, try to continuously improve the content and increase PV.
3. The relationship between friendly links and PR
This friendly link is very important. You can also take a look at my cross-stitch city, which is updated every day. It was PR3 before, but it is now PR2. Maybe it has something to do with GG's algorithm. However, my site is always updated and always has original content. After analyzing some netizens’ websites, I concluded that friendly links still cannot keep up, and we should try to find similar websites with high PR values. To be honest, I don't feel that this PR value is of any use. The only thing is, when the PR value of your site is above 4, this is a very good bargaining chip when selling.
4. Dealing with forum spam advertisements
Everyone who sends spam ads will have an IP, right? Let’s start from this. Let’s first look at these two IPs, 222.80.52.* and 222.80.51.*. These two IPs are actually from the same place, two computers. In other words, in this area, if we seal the star to the third position, then everyone in this area will not be able to see it. Haha, we can only block the fourth position, one by one. Therefore, when posting spam advertisements, you cannot just disable user names, but you must also use DZ's IP ban function. Some spammers can register a dozen accounts for you with one IP, which are dedicated to sending spam advertisements, which is very annoying to them. In addition, the popularity of this site also has a certain relationship. The key is to see whether the management of this site can keep up. I remember that in Xiucheng last year, there were quite a lot of spam advertisements, but this year there were obviously very few. The key is that we have more than a dozen administrators. The key is that when you look at our site, you will know that someone is dedicated to maintaining it, so there are relatively few spam advertisements. There are some websites that have a lot of content but no management. It is easiest for such websites to recruit people to post advertisements.
5. Server maintenance issues.
This year we launched a server. Tell friends who are new to the server that larger space providers provide servers, which only install the operating system and do not install any databases or PHP, let alone install a host management system for you. Of course some small private server providers offer it. In addition, some servers only have one hard drive. This must be backed up. No matter how big the service provider is, don’t really think that they really promise as good as the server you bought. If the hard drive breaks, they can give it to you. Replace the hard drive (haha, maybe it will take two or three days to replace the hard drive), but if you want to restore the data in the hard drive, it will cost more than a thousand.
6. Issues of collection and originality.
If a website has no content, who will read it? I think a website with 25% collection and 75% original content is very good. I also have a website with 4,000 topics now. At that time, I collected more than 3,000. There are probably about 1,000 originals. Currently, Baidu has collected more than 700. Therefore, the collected content is rich in content at first glance, but it is not very friendly to Baidu. It’s not difficult to find original content, haha. For example, I have a forum on Miai Island that focuses on emotions. At the same time, I go to Tianya to repost a few new posts just submitted by members. The effect is not bad, at least, Baidu follows it every day.
7. Publicity Issues
Publicity is important. But if you post your website address in QQ groups everywhere, you will be reported by members. If you post your multi-site URL everywhere on Baidu, your account will be blocked, or later, your URL will be blocked by Baidu in Zhiba and Tieba, and you will not be able to post it at all. Here is Baidu. You enter your website name in Baidu, and then you get a search page. You forward this link to major websites, which is also a good effect. When people see that it is Baidu, at least they don’t have to worry about viruses. . hehe. For example, after you click on the link http://www.baidu.com/s?wd=%CA%AE%D7%D6%D0%E5%B3%C7, the first place that opens is my site. Will Baidu block the domain name baidu.com?
Okay, enough talk, sleep. I must keep my website domain name. Oh, it’s difficult. It’s really difficult to add an external link.
